Thank you for sharing about this event. As I understand a group called Fire the Grid is planning to gather as many people as possible to send energy directly into the earth to 'heal' it, all at once. On the surface, this collaborative energy pulse seems like it could be a fine and noble thing to do. But is this really as it seems?

My heart tells me something is not quite right about this, and I encourage all who have chanced upon this post to please think this through before you agree to participate in this group event: with the intention of sending energy into the earth. I’m not sure what the combined effects of beaming energy into the Earth’s grid might be… I do feel very uneasy about it though.

Energy of any kind cannot be destroyed it can only be transformed. What if sending a pulse of energy into the Earth disrupts the natural balance and hastens the Earth Changes? It would be a terrible irony if the very things that this group is coming together to prevent, brings about the very earth changes that so many have predicted.

It is my understanding that Shelley Yates experienced a powerful life intervention by some Beings who told her to do this. As I understand it some Beings guided Shelley, and miraculously healed her and her child, reviving them from death. Who are these Beings? And why is it so imperative to FIRE the Grid. Fire is a potent elemental force and indeed – any energy sent into the Earth is possibly very potent energy. Perhaps this meditation will not do what we intend or hope.

I don’t know who these Beings actually are. My understanding is that when there is a divine intervention, it is completely unconditional. Why then, was Shelley given this directive?

No one really knows for sure what that kind of intense and focused energy, sent into the earth will do. Maybe it will do what these Beings have told her that it will, but what if it doesn’t? We just don't know what this energy pulse might do to the earth. This is the only earth we have, for better or worse.

We all have free will, and it is up to each of us to decide what we want to do. My hope is that we can remain alert and not be lured into using our energy in a way that contravenes Divine Free Will. Unfortunately there are those that seek to manipulate our energy, and sometimes these Beings appear to be noble and kind. Under this guise, an energy resonance is created that over-rides Divine Free Will. The other reason for this guise is to gain easy access to, and manipulate personal energy.

And so I implore you dear friends, to please consider very carefully this event, and any other petition, that calls upon you to use your energy in a certain way. Consider whether the nature of the request truly honors the Divine Free Will. Or are you being asked to use your energy in a way that impinges upon the Free Will of the planet and all her inhabitants? Consider the words used in the petition, do they implore you? Are there conditions and requirements, such as a specific time, or special activity?

The future of our planet greatly depends upon the way in which we choose to use our energy. Every action, and consequent reaction, reverberates into the Universe.
The healing journey of our planet is one that calls us to take personal responsibility. We must stay in our energy,and use our energy wisely.

The magnificence of the Universe expresses through a cosmic phenomenon known as the Law of Attraction. As we behold and experience the magnificence of the Universe, we can watch and observe the play of energy. We are free to then choose how we wish to respond and participate. The Universe makes no special demands, and there are no requirements regarding how we might choose to use our energy. This is a powerful gift. One that is much coveted.

And that is why there is one Golden Universal Rule. Love. Love knows no Bounds. As you radiate Love with compassion in your heart Love flows throughout the Universe. This happens spontaneously and automatically, in accordance with Divine Free Will.

Meditating for the Earth, July 17th 2007

Canadian Shelley Yates experienced two miracles in November 2002 in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Together with her son she ended up in a marsh after a car accident. She survived while listening to messages from light beings. She says: "I have been ‘dead' for fifteen minutes. The light beings told me how I could save myself and my son. What's more, I received a message of how to save the earth."

Not sure how this works. I have accessed this feature to check it out but have no idea how to invite friends to join me.

Just wanted to let you know I finally gathered up my nerve and participated in what I think is one of the great unexpected social phenomenon...the FREE HUGS movement.

I can so highly recommend this to everyone...especially as a Halloween costume. I put on some soft fuzzy clothes, made my FREE HUGS sign and waded into a crowd of 1,000+ costumed partying people.

The response was incredibly heartwarming! I must have gotten well over a thousand hugs, many people came back for seconds (and thirds!). I think the most amazing thing was the thanks I got from people for the hug! Seemed like some of them haven't been hugged in a long time!

So, if you were feeling a deep need to have your own personal faith in the world restored, make a FREE HUGS sign and get out there! You''ll be glad you did!

This inspirational initiative is a wonderful reminder that every day - every moment - is an opportunity to consciously create a better world. Every day, in every way, we truly can make a difference. I would like to invite you all to join with me in intentionally radiating peace. Every peace prayer, mantra, chant, song, peom, heart wish and vision is felt upon the inner planes... Together we can create vibrational light waves of peace, through the vibration of our thoughts, intentions, visions and feelings. The combined resonance of loving voice and heartfelt action creates a wave that becomes a cosmic ripple that shimmers throughout the entire Universe. Today is a wonderful opportunity to reflect upon the gift of light that you are, and how you wish to express this within our world. What are the unique qualities and attributes that make you who you are? Living peace is a wonderfully creative and inspirational experience. One might weave peace into their day in a myriad of ways, for example, through singing peace, painting peace, dancing peace, or simply offering oneself as an instrument of peace through loving service. A while back I decided that I would sing peace, into each day, by chanting the Gayatri Mantra. A small action that has literally changed my life. Peace Really Does Depend on You

The solution for worldwide peace has always been there, right under our noses. But it requires more of us than we seem willing to give. Now, with our backs to the wall, we have run out of options. The choice is simple: act or perish.

Ever since the outbreak of hostilities between the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) and Hezbollah, my email inbox has been jammed with requests to send prayers, light candles, link up with meditation groups, sign petitions, send light and love, and a host of similar calls to inaction. The latest one, forwarded by a friend, sported the subject line: “Help Stop the Bloodshed in the Middle East.”

The email requested that I join in signing a petition “calling on US President Bush, UK Prime Minister Blair, and Israeli Prime Minister Olmert to support Kofi Annan’s proposal. If millions of people join this call, and we advertise our views in newspapers in the US, UK, and Israel, we can help pressure these leaders to stop the fighting.” A link was provided to the Stop the Bloodshed: Ceasefire Now website: http://www.ceasefirecampaign.org/. The organizers of the website want at least 100,000 signatures on their petition. There is little doubt that they will achieve it.

My friend had added her sentiments to the email before forwarding it to her distribution list: “I’m sending this on because I believe it to be a good way of demonstrating that we are many millions who don’t believe in the ‘eye for an eye’ reaction which only leads to never-ending violence and grief. And the UN really needs a show of support!”

Her email remained in my inbox for several days as I struggled with how I wanted to respond. How easy it would have been to add my name to the growing list of supporters, believing/pretending that I was making a contribution to peace in our time.

Anyone who reads my articles knows that the present conflict concerns me greatly. In fact, I have been spending quite a bit of time lately digging into the story behind the story. What I have found is deeply disturbing: nothing is what the combatants, the media, and the debating nations would have us believe (see: http://prismhouse.com/upiforum/123.php). Supporting the UN in this matter is like attempting to stop a rape by sending a donation to the Society for the Reformation of Manners.

In fact, our language and culture have completely lost touch with the meaning of the word “peace.” As with so many things in this dualistic illusion we live in, the term has both a negative and a positive aspect. The difference between them is not at all trivial; indeed, it lies at the heart of both the problem currently manifesting in the Middle East and its solution.

The negative connotation of peace only expresses the absence of its perceived opposite. From this perspective, peace is what fills the spaces between hostilities. In other words, peace has no distinct properties of its own; it is merely the absence of war. The positive meaning of peace, on the other hand, refers to a palpable internal quality arising out of love, aesthetics, spiritual practice, and a host of other activities that touch and personally transform us as individuals. It is not the peace between (which implies separation) but the peace within (which speaks of unity) that we should be seeking. It is a travesty of our language and culture that the same word is so loosely applied to both conditions; because of it, otherwise caring and intelligent people turn too easily into sloppy thinkers.

Negative peace is an inadequate, Band-Aid response to a gushing artery. Positive peace is the only answer. But it does not come as easily as adding one’s name to a petition, wearing wrist bands, or joining prayer circles suggests. Creating positive peace is not the business of groups or negotiations; it is not achieved through organizations, nations, religions, or – heaven help me – well-intentioned emails. Positive peace is an exquisite pearl that forms initially in response to the irritation of the world’s condition, and then is perfected over the years by sustained personal effort.

I have come to realize that when I go to sleep at night believing something and wake up the next morning believing the same thing, it’s no big deal. It merely means that I’m stuck and need to shift. Anyone following world events over the past few decades can see how solidly entrenched we humans have become in our beliefs – defending them by any means at our disposal, even if it means killing others in the process. I am deeply committed to helping to change the consciousness of this planet. I long ago accepted that this change can take place only one person at a time, and that if I am to make even the smallest contribution, it must start with me.

I invite you to find peace, to think peace, to embrace peace, and ultimately, to become peace. Let this be the moment when you finally stop looking to others to do what you came here to accomplish. This, I believe, is what Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi meant when he said, “You must be the change you wish to see in the world.”

We have all been living in illusions within the illusion, duped by the distortions and outright lies fed to us from birth by others who, for the most part, are unwitting earlier victims of the same process that befalls us. The choice before you is both immediate and unequivocal: follow the herd or break free.

Not only do you need to awaken, but – for reasons I will explore more fully with you in the months to come – you need to awaken now. The vast majority of people around you will not wish to face these all too certain realities. They would prefer to remain anesthetized by the distractions of our affluent societies.

There is far more happening right under our noses than you can imagine. Each new column that I file for UPI’s Religion and Spirituality Forum takes me deeper into the abyss. If you haven’t been reading them, you might want to look at the latest pieces about the Middle East: (http://prismhouse.com/upiforum/index.php?ID=prismhouse&IN=N) They certainly shifted my perception of what this struggle is all about and how it was deliberately engineered as part of a far greater agenda.

Perhaps when you begin to clearly see the larger game afoot, you will come to understand who you really are and how vitally important you are to the solution. The answer ultimately lies within each of us. What we make of ourselves determines the fate of those we would wish to see changed. I do not ask for agreement on this, only that you find the courage to go more deeply within yourself than you have ever done before. Let your heart be your guide. There is a very bright light at the end of this exceedingly long and dark tunnel, but it will not come from the UN, the Vatican, or the White House.

If it is to come at all, it must come from us.

Please share this message with those who are meant to be part of the solution. There have already been enough candles and vigils and prayers and meditations and emails to shift the tide of events fifty times over – and yet they continue. Now there’s some real work to be done.
