A Blessing?

JOYOUS said Sep 26, 2008, 6:22 AM:

I think we can all agree that dysfunction usually makes an appearance during a moving experience from one nest to another.

I've had my doubts about this decision.

But let me tell you about a sign that my son and I are doing the right thing.

I love working outdoors in the yard.  Living in this apartment for 18 months I've had no yard.

So this spring I created a container patio/garden that I and some of the other residents could see from our windows.  It was very pleasant.  Every once in awhile when passing by the livingroom window, I would catch a flash of colorful flowers from the place that I  created and the heart would just skip a bit with joy.

Well, this last week I moved those plants to my new location.  While taking a break and sitting nearby the newly moved garden, a surprise visitor stopped by.

A humming bird.  Those plants had not been there one-half hour and then came the humming bird.   And it returned, returned, returned.

The property has been empty for a year.  There is no ongoing garden there.  Yet the humming bird came.

“Fear not.  Have no doubts.  Trust.  See, I send you a sign.  This move is no mistake.”

JOYOUS, this is such a blessing. No ? there!
A hummingbird is such a sign of blessing; I remember the first time I saw one in my garden, I had to call my mother on the other side of the world to tell her. Just could not belive it.

And after hurricane Katrina had her play in Miami before attacking New Orleans,  followed later by hurricane Wilma; many of the trees in our neighborhood were injured; except for the silk floss tree in our front yard. One day, a neighbor called me excitedly: there were about 200 hummingbirds flitting about there!!

I have never been so blessed as by their playfully eluding being photographed [managed to get one, though!]

Hummingbird in silk floss tree : After a hurricane hit Miami, the silk floss tree in our front yard attracted hundreds of hummingbirds. A sign from heaven!Lots of h's here: hope of heaven from a hummingbird after a hurricane!

JOYOUS, hummingbird can take us into new moon ceremony if you call on her to take you on Monday…and if you are drawn to that.
