This is our time!

Meenakshi said Jun 4, 6:58 AM:

The other day a friend and I, both in our early 50s, were walking in the park and remembered a song that our younger friend had not heard of. “Oh yes- that was from our time,” one of us said.

And I asked: Why do we call THAT our time? Why isn't THIS our time? I had an Aha moment [thanks to Myefate for reminding me of that phrase  which is from “my time” and has come back again!] - We feel that the 20s are our time because that's when we've first become strong and independent and are just learning of our power and most importantly, are with others of our age in doing so. We're working or studying or partying or otherwise meeting people mostly of our age.

Well  that's how it was from my experience. And so I had another aha! [it never rains…..]

Getting together as we are now, is another way of making this our time. We may or may not have other friends of our age in “real life”, but making friends of our age online can certainly help in making each age relevant, and lived consciously with awareness and .

What was the time you refer to as “our time” or”my time”? And what are your thoughts about making this age “our time”?

With my grandsons I kid aroung and say “back in my day” and then I tell them a story about choping wood for the cookstove or how I would break up chuncks of coal for the heating stove or when I would cut grass with a push mower (one without a motor) but I really know that right now is our time and I am loving every minute of it.   God has been very good to me and I love Him (Her) very much as I love my fellow man.   Enjoy, Enjoy,  Enjoy
