In my teens I had many pen-pals from the far- east ,and due to this I learned a little about your countrys culture. Have you visited Norway? Maybe it would be tempting for you swimming in the norwegian fjords ! : )

Thank you so much dear Barbara, for all your gentle surprises here! And thank you for this poem of Olav H. Hauge. I know of his existence, but I must admit that I don´t know his authorship that well. The poem you wrote down here though, was interesting and very touching. It describes so well the hopes and dreams we all are carrying with us - the dream that one day something marvelous will happen. This dream is very important to maintain, isn´t it.
One of my favorite, norwegian poets are Hans Børli. I found one book with his translated poems; "We own the forests - and other poems" He was called the poet of the forest - and he combines the life and the nature so wonderfully together.
So nice to hear about your fascination for Emily Dickinson. The little story you referred to , where she let down baked goodies in a string to children playing in her garden, was so touching! Thank you for sharing this!

Your norwegian words are irreproachable, and the KRANSEKAKE recipe is a fun device here ! Loved it... I can give you one more recipe for your collection; Mother Monsen cake, a cake that´s a traditional, norwegian cake too. Very tasteful !

So nice that you liked Elisabeth Werps artwork. I can also recommend one more special, contemporary norwegian artist; Odd Nerdrum. Quite well-known I believe, outside the norwegian borders !??

I have some of them in yellow and some in orange in my garden-bed, and they actually reminds me of my grandmas garden because there were some orange lilies there. Sweet memories you know....

I often feel rather shallow and bewildered in life, and there is a long way for me reaching your knowledge, and I refer to your words from one of your blogs; "I´ve learned and practise the art of being in the moment and accepting and appreciating whatever the moment presents" -

There are certainly much to learn in life, and maybe being humble is one of the essential necessities!! And also the ability to listen to an inner voice that may be the echo of a deeper, common consciousness.... Thank you again <3

Thank you so much for your good wishes "Mum´s the word", and thank you for the lovely video! It suddenly disappeared but I hope it will return! :) I certainly love fairies and they were dancing so lovely on the ice.

At the moment I´m reading the book "Angels in my hair" by Lorna Byrne, A lady who can see and communicate with angels, all since she was a little child. I want to believe in this and it is in my dreams that there is some guardian angels protecting us. My maternal grandmother was also a person that had seen and strongly believed in wood nymphs, so you see, I´m not unfamiliar to this. I read in your blog that you are accustomed to spiritual healers! There are certainly more than we possibly can understand......

Thank you so much Cindy for your kind greeting on my birthday :) I love your picture of the beautiful, cuddly puppy here, and I agree with the saying in one of your blogs; "There is no psychiatrist in the world like a puppy licking your face" There is therapy in every kind of pets. I have my cat Josefine that is a great gift to me, each and every day. She comforts my soul without knowing it. For the next 50 years of my life I will have a pet beside me, most likely a cat : )

Ane, what a lovely image of Emily Dickinson! I've been to her house in Amherst and it was a wonderful experience. It's now a museum. I strongly felt her presence there, especially at her tiny little writing desk looking out the window. She used to bake things and let the goodies down from her window in a box on a string for the children to have whenever they played in her yard. She's one of my spirit guides.

I may compare it with some of my wanderings in the norwegian mountains, for instance in Jotunheimen (the home of the giants) - and Besseggen. There will always be some challenges on the way, but the viewpoint may be incredible...

Since I´m born in the astrological sign Pisces, there must be a connection though :) But, I´ve always been so shy and being cautious is one of my tendencies. And, you have revived my interest for the poems of Emily Dickinson. I will love to read more of her work. And I also recognize this "thing with feathers /that perches in the soul..." The HOPE is a mighty force that leads us through much darkness, and I personally lean more against hope than belief.   "Hope is a waking dream" as Aristotle said! This will follow me through the next fifty years !
