For the new month, October, let me have your birthday so it can be put in the calendar for celebration. If you know someone turning 50 in October, invite them to this pod so we can celebrate.

Yep, right word for right meaning, right spelling. Pat on head.

Isn't it a delightful word !!!??? Along with kvetch, and schmuck, and mensch, and other useful Yiddish words I can't call to mind at the moment.

Not my native language, but living in NYC, you pick up a lot…..

The best of all: Schlep !!! (To lug a burden, carry in a trudging manner, transport with effort, as in “schlepping a bag of groceries during various other errands on a long walk home.”)

Usual sentence context: “And you expect me to schlep that around for you?”

We'd all like to be healthy all our life. Some of us begin to give it importance only when the body begins to complain. Announcing a new board for everything to do with health:

Sorry I haven't been around for a while—Health after 50 Hmmm!
I have lost almost 100 pounds this year and I have learned that health is not just about your body.
It's about your mind and spirit as well.
One thing that I have learned to is that you have to change what's in your heart and head before the changes really start to come in your body.
You can have a really fit body-but if you don't have inner peace and are not comfortable with your own life-the outside does not matter.
One lesson I have learned lately is the Buddhist tenant of “Do no harm”. This applies to others around you, but it also applies to yourself. 
No matter which “God” you adhere to of if none at all, Your body and soul are precious. You DO have to right to guard yourself from harm, psychical, mental, or emotional.
You are a wonderful and complex mechanism.
Doing no harm to yourself means using good sense in what you allow into your body and your mind.
