About This Group
Update! This pod is no longer active and will be archived because we have created a shiny new Ambassador Program :)
We recently relaunched the Gaia Ambassador program, asking all previous Ambassadors to rejoin and recommit to inspiring and empowering the community here at Gaia. We know some of you joined the Ambassador program in the early days...(more) and things change! We've changed :) So, we'd love to have you reapply and let us know you're just as excited to help your fellow members and share your goodness and wisdom here.
What's more, we've created lots of awesome tools for the new Ambassador Program including a Manual as well as printable materials and banners to share with friends. There are also resources for activities for your Gaia Gatherings and Ambassador badges that will show up on your profile, letting the community know they can look to you for guidance.

Who Are Gaia Ambassadors?
Gaia Ambassadors are quintessential Gaia members: people who are committed to changing the world by living at their highest potential and inspiring and empowering others to do the same.
What Do They Do?
Ambassadors spread the Gaia word in their local communities, letting other as-yet-undiscovered Gaia Members know about the site. And they're active within Gaia, welcoming new members and sprinkling the pods with their love and wisdom. They can frequently be found at the Ambassador Pod, sharing ideas and successes about how to best practice their work, and supporting each other in their unique personal development.
How Do They Do It?
First, by committing to live at their own highest potential. Gaia Ambassadors know that the way to best contribute to the world involves taking care of themselves first – they know how to take responsibility for getting their needs met and they know their greatest strengths and deepest satisfactions. Armed with this self-knowledge and self-respect, they're able to act confidently and compassionately, using their personal skills – be they social, academic, physical, or spiritual – to help change the world for the better. Some Gaia Ambassadors are dedicated volunteers. Others work as entrepreneurs, determined to realize their own version of right livelihood. Others are parents, raising their children according to their deepest values. There are as many paths as there are Ambassadors.
When it comes to the site, though, their actions are more clear. Gaia Ambassadors serve as the messengers between Gaia and the rest of the planet. They take the tremendous positive energy generated in the pods and between members and scatter it to the world at large, both online and off. They commit to meeting other Gaia members in their local communities, setting up Zaanghas and offering to get together with members in their area. They wear their Gaia t-shirts, answering questions about the communities. They distribute Gaia postcards, alerting as-yet-undiscovered Gaia Members to their new online home. And, as Gaia representatives, they collaborate among themselves to come up with personal projects to better the world, from spreading the news about carbon offsets to promoting social entrepreneurship to eating organic and walking to work. They're an amazing group of people … and they see what's amazing in others.

Oh Pigpen,
You got a shirt? You got a shirt? All I got was a rock.
I hope we will get a new batch of shirts, and that while you soil yours as on PigPen can, that I can fit this blockhead into my very first shirt.
Charlie Brown never got a shirt. I'll bet Lucy is laughing that “Charlie Brown never got a shirt”.

Oh! Don't shoot the messenger! There are no shirts left and we aren't printing Zaadz shirts anymore. Even my shirts will fade away, such is the nature of life :)
And, fyi, we were only able to send shirts as supplies lasted and to our early group of Ambassadors. That is why some got them and some didn't. It was a first come, first serve issue, but not favoritism. We love you all. However, once in a while we had a bad address and the packages were returned to our then-shipping facility, so even some early birds may not have gotten one. We also gave some away at events as well.
PigPen, I am so glad you enjoyed it for the time you had it.

Ambassador package? What package? Shirt? I could use cards or fliers or something. I'm forever writing the website on napkins for people at parties…Some of them are friendly parties…people could copy off my shirt…if I had one…

Sorry Wren, no more packages or shirts. That was a phase i missed, too. :(
See Jessica's post of March 26 in this thread.
As for cards and fliers, we'll see what is available from the new incarnation of this Ambassadors Group being developed now. Meanwhile, nothing prevents us from creating our own version of a card or flier !!!!
(As long as we aren't representing ourselves as the website.)
Glad you are here !!
Aloha blessings, OM Bastet
