Observe Moratorium Day By Yourself!

<THERE action plenty ways break with your daily routine and, every Moratorium Day, take by yourself end war. Here are things some of the folks who have signed on plan to do.

Wear a black ribbon or armband!

Call your Representative and your Senators! Tell their staff what you think. Let them know that you expect them to do everything possible to end the war and bring the troops home! [The Capitol Hill switchboard number is 202-224-3121.]

Replace Your Home Page With A Moratorium Page Every Third Friday.

Write a letter to your local newspaper. Many newspapers now have online links or forms that you can fill in to send a letter. Whether you do it electronically or actually mail a letter, here are some guidelines.

Spread the Moratorium over the internet

  • Visit the Iraq Moratorium building in Second Life
  • Submit the Iraq Moratorium to web sites
    • Wikipedia
    • Search engines
    • Other peace and anti-war sites
    • Progressive sites
    • etc

Don't buy gas.

  • Drive 10 MPH under the posted speed limit.

Don't shop at all.

Put a sign on your lawn or in your window or on your car.

Buy toy soldiers, put tags on them that say “Bring Me Home” and leave them in stores, parks, libraries, laundromats, anywhere people will find them.

Email friends and family and urge them to sign the Iraq Moratorium statement and to take one of these steps, too.

Pray - in your faith, attend services.

STOP the War * Bring the Troops Home
