What do you want to do to celebrate birthdays?

It's fun to celebrate birthdays on Gaia. There are parties in groups, blogs & grapevines! If you'd like to celebrate online, please come by Gaia Networking and join - Gaia Networking~Enhance your Community Experience  or e-mail Meenakshi or one of the moderators there.

1. post your birthday on the month provided by OM [and watch out for your friends' birthdays] on CELEBRATING BIRTHDAYS - GAIA CALENDAR

2. then tell your friends [and read what they've written on] How I Like To Celebrate My Birthday On & Off Line

3. and if you are hosting or attending a party, let us know at Birthdays around Gaia


This has been a great way to bring together your friends that may have been off for awhile and renewing friendships that you haven't posted with for a while… plus it is fun!  What do you suggest to help generate more Gaia networking?

hm..we could do holiday things maybe? the 4th of July in the US is coming up. i do not know any of the foreign holidays, so i cannot suggest anything like that. i suppose the holidays would have to be split into regions.. you could post it, and if other people from other regions want to join in, that would be fine. just have to post the holiday, what country it is from, and where the party is.

could have a “first day of summer” party..but it may be too last minute, since that is tomorrow i do believe.

Please join us for Summer Solstice at The Power of Light and thanks for all of the great ideas.  I agree… possibly in the lounge that a Gaia Master Calendar could be set up for people to post holidays from all of our different cultures.  Let's keep in touch with this and get all of the other Ambies to give their take too… fun!

Totally awesome, Suni,  and ~KES for elaborating ! I adore the holiday calendar idea. We are soooo pioneering the Global Village, celebrating and synergizing our similarities and our differences!!!!

I have to keep remembering that this is “summer” (long-light) solstice for only half the globe!! But still, some holidays are national, and some are global/natural. It's interesting.

Someone, do start this in Gaia Lounge. Perfect place, I think. A service to the community from the Ambies. YAY !!!!

Oops, I didn't mean to ignore Meenakshi's suggestion and the thread she started. That works, too, for those who will join that Group. I hope, if there is a Lounge version, that there are cross-posts indicating the other venue for listing holidays exists in the community.

Perhaps we should have it in the Lounge, OM, because it looks like I was the only one enthused by the celebrations idea at WHC - lol!
