Blue Gender

Blue gender is one of those anime's that you rarely hear about.  I think it only aired a couple of runs through on adult swim when it came out but it deserved a lot more than that.  After buying the box set (i know i can watch it for free but yes it is taht good) I realized that a lot of it had to be editted because of content.  Though there is not much of it there are a few sex scenes and the gore can be a little intense at times.

ok, the story:

Post apocalyptic setting where a breed of giant insect like animals have evolved on such a grand scale that humanity has had to leave earth.  By making a very large sadolite in space that communistically trains soldiers from a young age to combat these “things” in a rather unique mech type machine, the main lead female role is personified in this society.  The other main character, a practical useless wuss is a man that has been criogenically forzen for the entire time period in which the “blue” or insects, have taken over the earth.  In his rescue, she shows how stern and tough life becomes while he gradually erodes at her harsh disposition, making her a little bit more sensitive.

This anime by far has the most in depth character development that i've ever seen.  It doesn't have any boring parts at all and it keeps the watcher wondering how it's all going to end.  The story progresses very openly and is hard to predict though it doesn't do it deliberately.

If you're up for an anime that displays a wide range of human emotion along with how it affects our character, this is a definate must as it combiens the psychology with a strong action theme keeping the audience entertained aesthetically and itnellectually.

let me know if you got any q's  ^_^;;;
