People who make you want to be a better person

Jess said Aug 22, 2006, 6:53 PM:

This one goes right out to Flex, for making me always want to be a better person. For never allowing me to doubt myself, for always taking in my many complaints about life and offering the wisest of advice, for continuing to give me advice even when I don't take it, and for making me feel good with each message I receive.

Thank you for reminding me of the goodness, the honesty and the love that people poses- and that we as human being often forget about.

You're great!

WOW!

It was an absolute pleasure to read what you wrote to me in our recent mail exchanges.I didn't notice at first, but there was a slight tear coming from my eye.It was a tear to signify sheer delight at your attitude.Keep the attitude you've discovered now and you'll do fantastic things, assured! But I'll have to cut out that tears stuff, I'm starting to sound like Brian, hehe :D
You owe yourself great credit Jess.I can honestly say (and you may or may not believe this) that your words were an inspiration to me, especially in a situation I am dealing with right now.It was a great affirmation to listen to what we have all come to know.Listen to ourselves and only settle for the best!

I'm glad you took my advice and acted on it.You took the advice, and importantly, acted on it!   in the end, that's the main thing, and the truth always resonatesThat's what I've done by listening to others and then passing it along. You see 'tickling' does work ;)
I'm sure you yourself will be passing great advice on to others you come across who ask for guidance.

Now I'm reminded of the lyrics to one of my favourite songs:

“Because we need each other
We believe in one another
I know we're gonna uncover
What's sleepin in our soul
What's sleepin in our soul!”

Cheers!

Hi,

I'm new to the pod and to Zaadz.  This place of appreciation is a good place to begin, although it appears that I have stumbled on a mutual appreciation party.  Forgive me if I am intruding.

My grandshildren make me want to be a better person, especially my oldest, who is a 14 year old beauty who looks to me for answers to her hard questions.  For her I want to be the best I can be to give her a possible model for life.

I have a poem about appreciation that I would like to share:

Appreciating

just appreciating

with a butterfly sensation

 in the upper cavity,

not reasoning the sense out of it,

simply being grateful;

basking in the bright,

lingering in the lovely,

appreciating all and everything

- that's right -

savoring the water of life

and being eternally grateful

accentuating appreciating

peace

”- that's right -”

It certainly is! Beautiful post skyburt.I love the fact that you're being best you can be, and that you recognize that's the only way we can help others. That is such an important message.

“For her I want to be the best I can be to give her a possible model for life.”

All I can say is that your grandgaughter is one lucky girl :)

You know it always fills me with joy when I attract people such as yourself to me.It let's me know that I am on the right track.Thankyou for your presence here, and again for the sublime poem.I'm almost pinching myself thinking I'm in a dream. But no I'm awake, and you really did write such a sterling poem and share it here with us fellow Appreciators. How blessed we are.I LOVE! it.

The grandmother theme reminds me of the quote on the Appreciation Society home page, which reads:

“Appreciation is the secret to life: You could never attend a gathering like this and listen to Infinite Intelligence expressing from the broader view, in other words, you could never have an experience like this, and you could just have a little seed that was offered to you by someone, maybe your grandmother or a teacher, that said — “Become a person who appreciates.”

That is the secret to life. Without knowing anything about Law of Attraction, without knowing anything about Vibration, without ever knowing anything about anything, you would thrive, you would fulfill your reason for being, you would be an extension of who you really are. Every moment of your experience would be as full as it could possibly be. In other words, that one tool: become a person who appreciates.” ~ Abraham Hicks

There is no better model in this Universe for your young grandaughter to follow than to look to her grandmother who is always appreciating her blessings.I'm sure your grandaughter knows how lucky she is.I am certainly envious and would have absolutely! loved such a role model as your good self when I were 14.

Thanks again and welcome skyburt!
