Hello kamaaina and welcome to The Appreciation Society,

I LOVE! your profile pic.I love turtles.I think of them being little and heading for the sea.Once they've made it they're totally at ease (just like in your pic).Despite the big wide sea with the predators in it, they're totally confident in their own well-being.Many could do with mirroring the turtles attitude.Humans have made it to the sea, because we're born, we're here right. But then many become unsure of themselves, of their own worthiness.Do turtles make it to the sea and then stop there? Of course not. They "think" I've made it to the sea when many other turtles didn't even make it out of the egg, let alone off the beach. So they're totally filled with their own ability to make it, and to continue making it.

I've made it to the sea, and I'm appreciative of that, I'm appreciative for being here.I appreciate the opportunity I have been given of being me, here, now, swimming in the glories of life, living!

Thanks!

Check this YouTube video out: What are you thankful for?

This whole pod is dedicated to Appreciating all our blessings. But I just thought I'd start a specific thread where we go along with the spirit of the youtube video and just quickly say, without pondering too much, what we are thankful for.So reply as if that guy had come up to you in the street and asked you what are you thankful for. What would your response be.

Here's mine:

I'm thankful for who I am, truly.
I'm thankful for the people, family and friends in my life.
I'm thankful for the opportunities that I have.
I'm thankful for the internet, the great sites on it and all the connections I have made on it.
I'm thankful for my health and prosperity.

What are you thankful for?

Cheers!

Today I was looking at very beautiful clouds in the sky,
I was enraptured by the beauty of the blue,
then all of a sudden I see a subtle and amazing rainbow emerge.

I saw a young busker in town by the train station the other day, playing his guitar. He looked so blissful, eyes shut most of the time, singing away without seemingly a care in the world.
Made me smile as we passed him by.I found it to be an uplifting site among all the shoppers rushing along to buy their 'things' lol!

The Autumn skies here have been brilliant! The other day I looked out of my window, from right where I'm sitting now, and saw the most marvelous pink sky.Within minutes of the sun setting the pink sky had turned to grey clouds, the most beautiful grey coloured clouds I have ever seen. One may not think of grey as being a particularly beautiful colour, but somehow this was, captivating, striking, breathtaking.

Oh and then for a few hundred geese to come out of nowhere and fly above, just beneath the clouds, quacking away, was icing on the cake.

Cheers!

      Think about it.

"I appreciate it for the work that I did, and for people who appreciate it, and I know there's a lot of physicists who use my work, I don't need anything else".

"I've already got the prize. The prize is in the pleasure of finding the thing out, the kick in the discovery, the observation that other people use it - those are the real things"

~ Richard Feynman talking about his Nobel Prize during an interview with the BBC Horizon programme in 1981.

Watch it and read transcripts here: The Pleasure of finding Things out

PS: I'm not sure if this media is available outside of the UK.Click the link and see if it shows anything.I hope you get to see it, it's a very interesting interview.

Cheers!

      Hello able-to-"Flex"-World Citizen,

Today's Daily Word was "Thankful Heart." With the joy oozing off of the page, with an awareness of real...REAL abundance, blessings, goodness, and love for me from the universe, one thing it said was "I cannot help but think of lovingly passing along my good." And so I couldn't help but pass along something that I felt was so beautiful, loving, and intelligent to a Society of those who Appreciate!

And what an added wonderful thing in life (icing on the cake) when you give beauty to someone that is it also received with intelligent appreciation! Life is good!

Even before I saw this WingMaker philosophy, my spirit sensed a (perhaps) more basic relationship - a relationship between the Whole (or All That Is, or whatever name) and myself. And if this relationship could be at least understood if not "healed," then a kind of circuit could be a reality in our lives. And all electrical circuits are very functional.

Even though this is can be seen as your basic "personal relationship with God," after I read "The Holographic Universe" by Michael Talbot, in which it educated readers that in a hologram "the part is the whole and the whole is the part," the science of this transformed itself in my mind as the individual is (or a reflection of) the universe and the universe is the individual! Something we all know in our souls being expressed in science is very exciting to me!

Because the nature of our minds is to see dualistically (in twos - me and the universe), embracing an idea of a circuit of these "two" could help us mis-creating-humans-down-hear-on-earth to experience our lives in authentic Oneness. True integration, and true comfort, and true certainty. Wherever we are in the universe we are in the center.

Anyway, in the sharing this kind of appreciation perhaps I'll have more of a chance to actually learn it!

Namaste,

Mark

"When the individual accepts changes in sovereign reality as the shifting persona of the Universal Entity, they live in greater harmony with life itself. Life becomes an exchange of energy between the individual and the Universal Entity that is allowed to play out without judgment and experienced without fear. This is the underlying meaning of unconditional love: to experience life in all its manifestations as a single, unified intelligence that responds perfectly to the projected image of the human instrument."

NOW THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT! OH YES!!! Mark, thankyou!!! immensely for sharing this article with us fellow Appreciators. It is one heck of a good article.I really enjoyed reading it, and I will be reading it a few more times yet for sure!

"Establishing a relationship with the Universal Entity through the outflow of gratitude also attracts life experience that is transformative. Experience that is richly devoted to uncovering life's deepest meaning and most formative purpose."

And that's why we're here ladies and gentlemen :D

Brilliant stuff. Thanks again Wholegram Man! I really appreciate it.

      "- that's right -"

It certainly is! Beautiful post skyburt.I love the fact that you're being best you can be, and that you recognize that's the only way we can help others. That is such an important message.

"For her I want to be the best I can be to give her a possible model for life."

All I can say is that your grandgaughter is one lucky girl :)

You know it always fills me with joy when I attract people such as yourself to me.It let's me know that I am on the right track.Thankyou for your presence here, and again for the sublime poem.I'm almost pinching myself thinking I'm in a dream. But no I'm awake, and you really did write such a sterling poem and share it here with us fellow Appreciators. How blessed we are.I LOVE! it.

The grandmother theme reminds me of the quote on the Appreciation Society home page, which reads:

"Appreciation is the secret to life: You could never attend a gathering like this and listen to Infinite Intelligence expressing from the broader view, in other words, you could never have an experience like this, and you could just have a little seed that was offered to you by someone, maybe your grandmother or a teacher, that said — “Become a person who appreciates.”

That is the secret to life. Without knowing anything about Law of Attraction, without knowing anything about Vibration, without ever knowing anything about anything, you would thrive, you would fulfill your reason for being, you would be an extension of who you really are. Every moment of your experience would be as full as it could possibly be. In other words, that one tool: become a person who appreciates.” ~ Abraham Hicks

There is no better model in this Universe for your young grandaughter to follow than to look to her grandmother who is always appreciating her blessings.I'm sure your grandaughter knows how lucky she is.I am certainly envious and would have absolutely! loved such a role model as your good self when I were 14.

Thanks again and welcome skyburt!

      Hi,

I'm new to the pod and to Zaadz. This place of appreciation is a good place to begin, although it appears that I have stumbled on a mutual appreciation party. Forgive me if I am intruding.

My grandshildren make me want to be a better person, especially my oldest, who is a 14 year old beauty who looks to me for answers to her hard questions. For her I want to be the best I can be to give her a possible model for life.

I have a poem about appreciation that I would like to share:

Appreciating

just appreciating

with a butterfly sensation

in the upper cavity,

not reasoning the sense out of it,

simply being grateful;

basking in the bright,

lingering in the lovely,

appreciating all and everything

- that's right -

savoring the water of life

and being eternally grateful

accentuating appreciating

peace

skyburt

Even though this is long, I felt it important enough to post and in a public place.
Mark
------------------------------------------------------------

Universe Relationship through Gratitude

This is the principle that the Universe of Wholeness represents a collective intelligence that can be personalized as a single Universal Entity. Thus, in this model of inference, there are only two entities in the entire cosmos: the individual entity and the Universal Entity. Inasmuch as the individual is impressionable and constantly changing to adapt to new information, so is the Universal Entity, which is a dynamic and living template of potential energies and experiences that are coherent and as knowable as a friend's personality and behavior.

The Universal Entity is responsive to the individual and its perceptions and expressions. It is like a composite omni-personality that is imbued with Source Intelligence and responds to the perceptions of the individual like a pool of water mirrors the image that overshadows it. Everyone in a human instrument is indeed, at their innermost core, a sovereign entity that can transform the human instrument into an instrument of the Sovereign Integral. However, this transformation is dependent on whether the individual chooses to project an image of a Sovereign Integral upon the "mirror" of the Universal Entity, or project a lesser image that is a distortion of its true state of being.

The principle of universe relationship through gratitude is primarily concerned with consciously designing one's self image through an appreciation of the Universal Entity's supportive "mirror". In other words, the Universal Entity is a partner in shaping reality's expression in one's life. Reality is an internal process of creation that is utterly free of external controls and conditions if the individual projects a sovereign image upon the mirror of the Universal Entity.

This process is an interchange of supportive energy from the individual to the Universal Entity, and this energy is best applied through an appreciation of how perfect and exacting the interchange occurs in every moment of life. If the individual is aware (or at least interested in having the awareness) of how perfect the Universal Entity supports the individual's sovereign reality, there is a powerful and natural sense of gratitude that flows from the individual to the Universal Entity. It is this wellspring of gratitude that opens the channel of support from the Universal Entity to the individual and establishes a collaboration of purpose to transform the human instrument into an expression of the Sovereign Integral.

It is principally gratitude--which translates to an appreciation of how the inter-relationship of the individual and the Universal Entity operates--that opens the human instrument to its connection to the sovereign entity and its eventual transformation into the Sovereign Integral state of perception and expression. The relationship of the individual with the Universal Entity is essential to cultivate and nurture, because it, more than anything else, determines how accepting the individual is to life's myriad forms and manifestations.

When the individual accepts changes in sovereign reality as the shifting persona of the Universal Entity, they live in greater harmony with life itself. Life becomes an exchange of energy between the individual and the Universal Entity that is allowed to play out without judgment and experienced without fear. This is the underlying meaning of unconditional love: to experience life in all its manifestations as a single, unified intelligence that responds perfectly to the projected image of the human instrument.

It is for this reason that when the human instrument projects gratitude to the Universal Entity, regardless of circumstance or condition, life becomes increasingly supportive in opening the human instrument to activate its Source Codes and live life within the framework of the synthesis model of expression. The feeling of gratitude coupled with the mental concept of appreciation is expressed like an invisible message in all directions and at all times. In this particular context, gratitude to the Universal Entity is the overarching motive behind all forms of expression that the human instrument aspires to.

Every breath, every word, every touch, every thought, every thing is centered on expressing this sense of gratitude. A gratitude that the individual is sovereign and supported by a Universal Entity that expresses itself through all forms and manifestations of intelligence with the sole objective of creating the ideal reality to activate the individual's Source Codes and transform the human instrument and entity in to the Sovereign Integral. It is this specific form of gratitude that accelerates the activation of the Source Codes and their peculiar ability to integrate the disparate componentry of the human instrument and the entity, and transform them to the state of perception and expression of the Sovereign Integral.

Time is the only factor that distorts this otherwise clear connection between the individual and Universal Entity. Time intervenes and creates pockets of despair, hopelessness, and abandonment. However, it is these very "pockets" that often activate the Source Codes of the entity and establish a more intimate and harmonious relationship with the Universal Entity. Time establishes separation of experience and this creates doubt in the Universal Entityís system of fairness and overarching purpose. In turn, this creates fear that the universe is not a mirror but rather a chaotic, whimsical energy.

When the human instrument is aligned with the Sovereign Integral and lives from this perspective as a developing reality, it attracts a natural state of harmony. This does not necessarily mean that the human instrument is without problems or discomforts, rather it signifies a perception that there is an integral purpose in what life reveals. In other words, natural harmony perceives that life experience is meaningful to the extent you are aligned with the Sovereign Integral, and that your personal reality must flow from this strata of the multidimensional universe in order to create lasting joy and inner peace.

Gratitude is a critical facet of love that opens the human instrument to acknowledge the role of the Universal Entity and redefine its purpose as a supportive extension of sovereign reality, rather than the whimsical outreach of fate or the exacting reaction of a mechanical, detached universe. Establishing a relationship with the Universal Entity through the outflow of gratitude also attracts life experience that is transformative. Experience that is richly devoted to uncovering life's deepest meaning and most formative purpose.

This one goes right out to Flex, for making me always want to be a better person. For never allowing me to doubt myself, for always taking in my many complaints about life and offering the wisest of advice, for continuing to give me advice even when I don't take it, and for making me feel good with each message I receive.

Thank you for reminding me of the goodness, the honesty and the love that people poses- and that we as human being often forget about.

You're great!

In fact talkin of clouds, there's a thunderstorm here right now.The clouds are grey and menacing, yet utterly beautiful at the same time. The trees are being pulled in one direction, as if the clouds want them to come along. But the trees are firmly rooted, they're happy where they are.The clouds will pass over and return another day, and so will the rain. The trees know this, so they have no need to move. The constant soft patter of rain and the rumblings of thunder, I can't help but LOVE IT ALL!

Ooh there goes a flash.....and BANG! *ooh, that was LOUD!* :D
