Hi there.

Sure! It does happen and especially if you produce a lot of work. I go through these about once a year or every other year. I look at it like a space to rejuvenate, replenish in between each birth of a new set of projects, paintings. Its just you waiting and the seed taking time to ripen again.

I think its a good time to just sit back and record new ideas, and take things in. I worked for 8 months, exhibit after exhibit. And when I took a break. i needed it. I can barely paint at all.

I'm just blank. So, I am taking this time to get back to the idea of the 'play' in it. I carry a little sketch book around and not worry of creating the next big thing for ( a show, etc). Just ride it out. Its good and when you come back you will be booming and brimming with more.

I commend your effort to move to the internet in promoting your artwork, and I do overall like the website. Though I don't consider myself even near the level of an expert, I have spent about 5 years with website design and creation, and here's all I have to say:

The design is killer. It's very creative and hones in on who you are as an artist. The layout is great too, but my main problem is the overwhelming ads and buttons and things. You want to focus on your artwork and the creative content you can provide. I would put some artwork of your own on the main page, either three random pictures on the side, something in the main header, or something along those lines. Thinking about something like this, if I were you, I would take the time to focus on exactly what you want people to know about you the INSTANT your URL is processed, because currently I don't think they know the real Nathaniel, the artist.

A Whole New Digital Art

I have spent about 10 years of my life drawing, though certainly not well. I love to draw with any kind of media, and I've recently expanded my view of "art" to the digital realm. My second greatest interest is computer programming, and my latest piece of art is created via a script written in PHP. I like to think of it as breaking the boundaries of art.

So what will WE Do?

Currently I am inviting people, especially artists, to contribute to a new video that puts Cultural Fusion art sponsorships into context and helps define the project "brand"....where we move beyond selling people on an image of what a company/product/thing is and instead invite them to explore/help define what it is.

What is involved?
Each person that is selected will contribute a video clip reading one to three slides from a power point presentation. If you are an artist, I'd love to see your work included in the background of your clip....each presenter will be credited in subtitle, as well as an article with links to Cultural Fusion member profiles. Contributors will also be featured in upcoming radio shows, interview or feature in Oci Novosti magazine - new project publication launching later this month. (let me know if you'd like to help with that I have a mock up I did when I first started working on the idea) Oci Novosti is good news with an artist perspective. We will be featuring the good work and issues being addressed by individuals and communities around the globe. Instead of highlighting the problems, we'll be paying attention to the people that are solving them.

oh my god, yesterday a clown came to my house, and with her, a monkey... :D a monkey came to my house! can you believe it? her name was Annie Grace, and she was adorable! she was wearing a dress and a diaper lol she also had earings on, it was soo cute. (the monkey, not the clown o.o ) the earings dont hurt her because they are very light, and this monkey's ears are very thin, so when she got them done, she didnt even flinch, the clown said. i still cant believe it, im still in shock! the clowns name was harmony, which i thought was cute, but im not a big fan of clowns, its not like im afraid or anything, its just.. they freak me out... any way.... the annie did a few tricks for us, she opened a botle of water and drank from it, she put a grape in her mouth and juiced it, and when she spit it out, all that was left was the skin! she also climbed all over me, and we got a few pictures.

also, 2 days ago, i rode my bike down to the railroad tracks, you know, just to be alone, and a dog came out of the trees. he was a sweet dog, we walked together up and down the tracks, and we got pretty far, but when it was time for me to treck back through the trees and ride my bike home, he followed me, all the way home! he didnt leave all day and he slept in our back yard. the next day (which was yesterday) i walked out side, and there he was. we called his owner from the # on his tag, and he was in iowa! so we had to dogsit him until the owner's co-worker could come and get him (it turned out his name was whiley, if thats how you spell it). he was a very good dog, he didnt bark, he didn't jump, he didnt bite, he was soo cute! he looked like a golden retreiver-german shepard mix. idk, but he was cute. we took pictures with him, and i fell asleep on the poor dog, but he didnt mind. it was sad to see him go, but i know ill see him again someday, the owner says that he gets out a lot. ^.^

My son Jordan (singer/songwriter/novelist/graphicartist/filmmaker) has entered a contest to create a plot line for a horror film for HorrrorFest 2008). He loves horror movies (he DID NOTget that from me) and has come up with something clever. The problem is, he just found out about the contest yesterday and the deadline for votes for the winning concept is MONDAY.

I have been doing these little Mandalas for fun and I was looking for a way to improve the process. I now design them by hand, then scan and color with Photoshop and make posters out of them.

What I do is take words or short phrases and use the letters themselves to create a design. I can fit up to 15 characters -more than that and it starts looking a little too crowded.

I have several images posted on one of my sites. They do look pretty cool if I may say so myself.
