Personal Astrology Research

Soul Friend said Jul 27, 2007, 8:42 PM:

Just out of curiosity I was wondering if anyone here has either tried to acquire information in specific areas of study in the stars or if there might be anyone who is dong research on any particular points of interest and their indicators.  I've found it interesting to locate info regarding Astrological indicators and have found various ones over the years.

Other areas of interest of mine include Life lessons and spiritual development watching Saturn, the Prenatal Eclipses & Chiron.  My primary focus is Natal Astrology and always remembering that “Character is Destiny.”  What is everyone else studying?

I've been studying the influence of Ceres in the natal chart.  I think that the role of Ceres is to help us use and integrate our emotions (Moon) within our lifes.  Ceres is acting as channel for receiving and transmitting information on the emotional level.

Some of these ideeas are included in several articles http://www.ciuboda.com/post/ceres-part-3-cycles/59

For example, a square between Moon and Ceres is an indication that this person is having dificulties in assimilating on emotional level all the thing that are happing in her life. Even that on the conscient and logical level is accepting this change or event, her emotions and feelings needs more time.

I'm really interested in Prenatal Eclipses…it's something I did not covered in my study. If you have some materials or links to related articles please let me know…or post here.

Hi Dan,

Sorry it has taken so long for me to return and post a response.  Jan Spiller seems to be the most well known modern writer teaching prenatal eclipses but there is a site unrelated to her on an msn group full of helpful info including eclipse tables.  The site is at:
http://groups.msn.com/HOROSCOPESCHAT/prenataleclipses.msnw and the tables are at:
http://groups.msn.com/HOROSCOPESCHAT/eclipsetables.msnw and I encourage everyone who reads this to at least start with your own and take a few minutes to locate both the solar and the lunar prenatal eclipses to find their sign and house position.  The Solar prenatal abbreviated PNSE reflects the Lesson or “Light” you are to teach in this life and conversely the Lunar eclipse (PNLE) shows the lesson you are here to learn.  If you see before your birth there are 2 in a row of one sort before listing the next type it means you entered life with more than one lesson of one type to either learn or to teach.

I find it remarkable how different these can be from the lunar nodes and sometimes of course very similar.  Often you find the South Node lines up both sign and house with the Lunar eclipse and the Solar with the North Node.  I see this as a progressive move toward learning more upon the course our past has set in front of us.  Occasionally however it is reversed or totally unrelated by house and sign to the nodes.  When they're totally reversed I believe that is an indication of picking up where you left off studying to learn in life lessons that have a wellspring of knowledge already buried deep within.  After you all try these in a few charts, tell me if this makes sense.

Hi Dan and Everyone Else,

I recall in the past year or so reading an article regarding work being done on 4 of the newer celestial bodies.  It included Juno, Vesta, Ceres and Pallas (Athena).  It’s been sometime but here in a nutshell is what I recall the cited research discovering:

Juno = Marriage and how we view it and our urge toward the union.  Of Course Juno as Zeus’ Queen is a great springboard for interpretations.

Vesta = The Flame of Spirit reflecting our Soul at its core of Being.  This was mentioned as the root of the word “Vestal” for Temple Virgins responsible for Keeping the Fire lit and all the Spiritual implications this entails.

Ceres = Motherhood and Nurturing is key here as it reflects both the mothering we’ve received and the Nurturing we deliver to others.  Men of course can choose to add to a hospitable environment around them and this bears on them in this way as well.

Pallas = Wisdom and maybe talent but also from Athena’s rule as Goddess of War this also reflects where we will take a stand on issues to defend Truth and perhaps be willing to fall on our swords for a cause.

These are sadly unable in my memory to be connected with an author of the article from Dell Horoscope.  Perhaps other members and Astrologers might recognize the reference.

I picked up an interest in the mid-point sign between Sun and Moon and how it applies to the signs  that  a  person would be drawn to.
What really pulled me into that area was the first  book on astrology that I got.  It mentioned that  the mid-point  signs cause a magnatism.
I checked my mid-points, Capricorn & Cancer…..what I found was that what this book stated was true in my case.  My last 3 relationships had all been Capricorns and most of my good friends, Cancers. A friend & I where having a conversation about relationships and she said, what is it with you and Capricorns? So I told her about the mid-point thing. She asked me what her mid-point was, so we figured it out. Then she rattled off the birthdays of her past serious relationships and she got 3 out of 4.
I have read a little about houses and relationships, locations of Moon in a male chart and Sun in a females, and that has a small bit of play in the charts I have looked at, I still find the mid-point to be more impressive.
