Marina Project in Panama looking for Green Builders

for input. I'm single-handedly fighting a group of “good ol' boys” and their ideas of “old thinking” development. We're building a marina in Panama, and I want it to be eco and sustainability oriented, possibly constructed with natural materials…anyone out there who has the knowledge and wan't to help raise awareness. The group is small and easily influenced, but we need facts, figures, suggestions to sway them.

I believe we could alter the course of development and could also greatly benefit the environment and therefore ourselves.

Here's the catch. The Panamanian President (corrupt) and the Minister of Tourism, Ruben Blades (of music fame) need to see how Green Building will actually benefit the project, especially over time. There's an over-abundance of short-sighted thinking here in order to make a fast buck. In Panama, many developers get in and get out as fas as possible, without any thought to the future. I want our marina to be different on our Heart-shaped bay (see my photo gallery for project rendering…)
