While Bill is mentioning Wilber -he did it some years ago during World Economic Forum first - he is putting Krugman, David Brooks and Tom Friedman first.

Bills Genghis Khan fantasy at the end of the interview is most fascinating for me. Moving through time and space without beeing evil:):) Sounds like a poltical Google version.

Now he should have understood Robert Kaplans articles and books in a deeper way.

However, as master of compartmentalization, he will probably keep dreaming and fundraising....and wanting to make the whole world his friend..

And a nice interview of Foreign Policy with Bill Clinton. On page 3 he is even mentioning work of Ken Wilber.

Bill Clintons world

If you wanted to know how Bill Clinton thought when he was president, you ignored the scripted set-piece speeches and instead went to listen to him talk off the cuff at an evening fundraiser. At night, he would ruminate extemporaneously on race, religion, science, and the nature of the human soul. His mind would roam widely and yet pull together disparate themes into a coherent narrative as no other politician of his generation. Today, the place to hear him think out loud is at the annual Clinton Global Initiative conference in New York, where he gathers hundreds of heads of state, business moguls, nonprofit executives, academics, and even Hollywood stars not just to talk about the world's problems but to do something about them.
Peter Baker, White House correspondent for the New York Times, and Susan Glasser, Foreign Policy's executive editor, caught up with Clinton there for an expansive conversation about identity, virtue, and riding the steppes with Genghis Khan. Below, the edited excerpts.
1234NEXT

That's about what the cartoon below is saying? In mathematical terms it takes the form of the equation, Screwed = Taxes!!
Your take on the cartoon & the proposal to legalize marijuana in the times when citizens do not want to partake of the dollars while the California economy seems to be in dire need of taxes!!
Cartoon below: http://www.allvoices.com/contributed-news/4253533-marijuana-legalization-on-the-table-in-california/image/39420960

I am astonished about the lack of enrgy here.)Whats now with REAL WORK to be done?

From poetry of campaigning to prose of poltical everyday life after the first 100 days?

NOW the time for sustainable, coherent, profound work has come.

We have elections in Germany, UK, EU too.
its silent on this thread since Obama is doing his job.

And this reflects the olds saying that campaigning is poetry and doing the job is prosa.

its damn tough job. Its focused on crisis managment for the next time. The same as in Europe and elsewhere.

So NOW is the moment to meshwork and convert conversations which matter to action with impact. With sustainable impact. And clear responsibilties.

Lectures have to be learned and mastered as much in top down clusters AS in grassroots. Anew form of evolutionary poltical intelligence which does not confuse spirituality and natural design. Poltical pragmatism and idealism. Stratified cultural realties and impulses of Utopia. Not about THE SHIFT but diverse transitions and transformation in most complex settings.

Foreign policy questions alway reflect something about the center of gravity in the cultures and societies.

Taking only Afghanistan, Pakistan and Middle East shows how weak most approaches are. And prayers of change are in no way sufficient.

      What deception?

this is one more of hundred fruitless conspiracy theories.

I blogged here:

ZEITGEIST THE MOVIE

how I see them alltogether.

They satisfy the feeling of beeing powerless for those who find no ways to overcome their own mediocre blueprints. Obama poltics will have a rough and tough time to renew the potential of poltics. As leadership acrosss the globe will have too.

Therefore I congratulate American people again to this president!

Of course, sustainable change needs hundreds and thousands leaders, artists, innovators and change makers. And results cannot counted within a time of 3 or 4 years.

Like the moon program of President Kennedy. Of course including and making use of German know how in rocket science:):)and theoretical physics:)

A blog entry from Otto Scharmer. AS worldwide -included Obama Adminstration no real leverage for overcoming the economic and financial crisis is offered or considered.
And overcoming this crisis (Plus true devleopment maps and roadmaps for foreign policy and crucial blueprints for education and healthcare for example) is essential.

The Blind Spot on Economic Thought

The crisis of our time is not about a financial bankruptcy (which is part of the symptom). the crisis of our time is about an intellectual bankruptcy (which has more to do with the underlying root issue): the bankruptcy of contemporary economic thought. not only was the entire mainstream of economic thought caught by surprise when the meltdown started to happen in Fall 08. even now, several months into the depression economics, we are still at a loss. millions of words. talkshows. and detailed expert analysis. yes, we know a lot about all the details. but what do we really know? what do we really know about what is going on and what is going to happen and what is required of us to do now?

When i watch the current conversation i am almost in disbelieve how narrow the analytical economic frameworks are that we apply to understanding the current situation: more markets was the mantram yesterday. more government is the mantram today (although the obama administration still does not dare to use the N word–nationalization–which probably only means that the nationalization, which is going to come anyway, will come a little later, a little less voluntarily (that is, forced upon by circumstances) and a lot more expensive (trillions more).

What strikes me is how conventional the economic thought is that the current public discussion (including the Obama economic team) is applying to the situation. no one doubts that stimuli packages, re-regulation and temporary nationalization of banks are necessary. but is that all we can do? this still sounds like a 20th century mindset (markets vs. government) applied to a 21st century type of challenge (meltdown). what we will probably find out soon is that this no longer works. we cannot be successful by applying 20th century mindsets to 21st century problems. we need to approach problems of our age in new ways. in ways that illuminate the blind spot of contemporary economic thought: collective awareness based leadership.

Since joining Gaia Community in February 2007, and writing hundreds of blogs, while learning much about myself, I’ve frightened away my readers. Am I an ogre, a fairy tale monster? If you read my profile, you find that I came to this life a messenger. I envision the future as being beyond present day imagination. Everything known is going to be trashed. For Gaia Community, the idea must be like jumping into a black hole.

In Linda Brady’s message, Discovering Your Soul Mission, we find that Barrack Obama and I share Aquarius in our soul patterns. When you think about that, it’s unbelievable, isn’t it? The soul pattern is one’s greater calling in life. I would like all of you Gaia astrologers to point out to me where I’ve gone wrong. I will assume that your silence means you either agree with me, or have assumed the prenatal position.

Obama’s Mercury in Cancer matches "liberal." Obama sees the world through the eyes of an emotionally sensitive cosmic nurturer and mother, wrote Brady. It’s a match with Gaia. Brady wrote that Obama would be a sensitive listener. This is a match with Gaia. But Gaia can lose her identity, as can Obama, in his empathy to others, Brady wrote. Because of this sensitivity, Gaia and Obama are lacking in objectivity, says Brady.

Obama’s Mercury in Cancer, along with Gaia’s orientation, is very interesting when you compare this Aquarian soul with that Aquarian soul. Matching "conservative," my Mercury is in Virgo. I perceive the world through the eyes of an organizer, wrote Brady. I seek to maintain high standards. I’m exacting. I seek to bring coherence to life. You bet! I can be judgmental. A true liberal is never judgmental. I further agree with Brady in that I can be obsessed by details. There is a difference in being obsessed by details and obsessed by trivia. I’m into quantum mechanics and the discovery of how it all comes together—through the study of the smallest of excitations. My question: Which is more important, knowing how to screw taxpayers, or knowing the why of it all?

It is very interesting that Obama’s mentor is Abraham Lincoln. Lincoln’s sun sign is Aquarius. His rising sign is Aquarius. America was born under the sign of Aquarius. We’re entering the Age of Aquarius. My rising sign is Aquarius. Both Obama and I have Aquarian soul patterns. The most outstanding characteristic of Aquarius is independence. Obama and Gaia Community are swimming against the current of change.

Obama’s spending plans aim for dependence in big government. His spending plans hogtie generations with tax to pay for having a government that is emotionally sensitive to the "needs" of the individual, as is Gaia Community. Obama excels in sensitivity and empathy. He is the Gaia hero of the day. He’s one of the greatest charmers who ever sought to become president of the United States. It appears to this Aquarian that Obama is merely a figurehead. It’s payback time now. Those of the liberal persuasion scream: give him a chance! No way!

The millions spent to get Obama elected are due to become trillions paid back to the special interests who paid for his election. And don’t forget that of those 9,000 "earmarks" 40 percent are Republican earmarks. All members of Congress agree that in order to remain in office one has to pass out pork to his constituency. This is understood when one decides to run for public office. It’s "bipartisan."

So here we are, my Gaia astrologer friends, moving from the Age of Pisces, an age of authoritarian control, into the Age of Aquarius, an age of individual independence. Before Obama ran for President of the United States, it was tacitly agreed that he would not break ranks. Obama’s duty is to keep America under the control of Washington’s liberal control freaks for generations to come. Has Obama not sold his Aquarian soul to the devil? I’m with Rush. I hope Obama fails. To liberals, it means that I hope America fails. Liberals don’t have the foggiest notion of what America stands for—nor what their lives stand for. Time will tell who is right and who is wrong.

On my post "No Way is Obama’s Plan the Right Answer," this comment, on February 26th:

just love the Republican way of thinking,.. the past 8 years they implemented more Tax and spend complete with PORK than the last 3 Democratic presidents combined! and NOW they put full blame on people that acquired loans that they thought they could pay back but find they now can not, oh sure they mention the bankers that made the loans but the part of the blame directly on the republicans that no one will admit is this: I retired after 25 years working for a municipality and was a teamster and a IBEW member. Under the Republicans and their anti union ways we have seen the lowest raises in over 12 years! while the cost of living shot up over 30 percent we barely received (IN 12 years) 13.5 percent in raises. Why is that important? Well factor the Bush anti union choke hold and if we had gotten fair wage increases(Just to match inflation) those very same people now in trouble would of had the money to stay afloat and pay the additional 6 percent they now need to not fall behind. and all the while corporate big wigs got FAT bonuses for finding ways to screw the working class stiff…In the republican way…. Gee what happened to Haliburton? OH thats not important you say?,..BS…What are we going to do about Cheney?. Let us all look into the friends and follow the money trail and see who is telling the truth, all the whiney FOX 5 reporters are still blasting Obama and it has only been 1 month…Now nuts Like Bill Oriley are attempting to tone down one of the most desgracefull cartoons in NY post history…I dont get it! Well thats all I have to say..They want to help..get on board. we did not allow Madoff and the several copycat Ponzi boys to pull of the biggest ripoff in history, The republicans and power house special interests did… PS Bill Clinton had the Federal deficit under controll, Bush (It is alleged) created the crisis by ignoring a premptive strike on Twin towers and allowed it to happen. Pay back for Daddy? I dont know…But one thing that was proven is NO WEAPONS OF MASS DISTRUCTION FOUND> and all he had to say was " OOps My Bad!" Sorry,…That OOPs cost the USA everythin!..Money,Lives and the respect of the world stage. and triggered the losses to the working man in so many ways that all had a direct impact on the current economic crisis. Now It took a comedian to give us a real stimulous package that would of worked, (Trikle up economics) instead banks, and loan institutions and auto manufacurers all bailed out but the drive train (The working man) is again left out, If the money went to individules and they aquired loans for autos from banks, or to refinance a home then those auto dealers and banks would have to compete for the business of the dealer or bank? every one comes up a winner….Yet instead, Banks that took bail out funds held and are still holding the (Your Money) bail out funds and will not make loans. We are all screwed! unless someone makes direct funds to small business and gets people back to work.
My questions: Do two wrongs make a right? Are we like spineless jellyfish floating on the tides? What is it that makes us human? This isn’t my America. I grew up in a totally different America. My message: You better believe this America is not long for this world. America’s liberals are going to be left in a cloud of dust.
