I'm going to throw out what at first glance will appear to be a very unenlightened book suggestion for aspiring entrepreneurs. My suggestion is:
Co-Opetition : A Revolution Mindset That Combines Competition and Cooperation : The Game Theory Strategy That's Changing the Game of Business
For almost a decade I traveled over an hour a day to work and back. To kill the time I subscribed to two different business book audio services. This allowed me to listen to audio versions of over 4 business books every month. I can honestly say that 98% of all business books are virtually worthless. But Co-Opetion stands out. It's one of the best introductions to Game Theory as it applies to business that I've ever read. Game theory is interesting because when practiced optimally, it requires that the user become holistically aware of everything that might influence the success or failure of a business move. Much to the shock of hard nosed MBA's this often means becoming aware of all the social, human, societal and spiritual aspects of what one once may have thought was a cold hard business transaction. The beauty of this is that Game Theory tends to be practiced poorly by the greedy and unenlightened, and masterfully by those who see the world from a higher viewpoint. This book doesn't really delve into the idea of what the Ken Wilber fans here on Zaadz will recognise as Integrally Informed Business, but until Ken Wilber starts writing business books, reading Co-Opetition is a great introduction to a more broad understanding of the business opportunities that might otherwise go unnoticed.

I just created a pod where similar pods can discuss their visions and perhaps merge. Click here for the thread I started on Entrepreneuring! If nothing else it could get you more members and better idea of what to do with your pod.

We all want change for the better. But how does change take effect without us living the change everyday. We need to start with little things that dont seem to be relevant. there is nothing that is not relevant, everything we do even the smallest thing like cleaning someone elses mess in the morning before going to work matters. That extra minute it took you to do so might have prevented you getting in car accident. And whoevers mess you cleaned up will be thankful and greatful towards you and consider doing so for someone else when the chance given. It'll stimulate a positive chain reaction. If you want change you have to be the ORIGIN of CHANGE! If people see you do things different and change it will force them to take in consideration if that change would be positive for them too. Let them know it is by creating a positive and happy environment around you. By expressing a better here and now with your own actions and the effect it has on people you come across in lifes intersections.
Change today. Change NOW. Change starts in your mind. Start with a better attitude and by changing ONE of your think patterns. The glass is half full today. If it is today, it will be tomorrow!
what starts in your mind will be felt in your heart. what your heart feels changes your heart. If your heart changes so will you.
Namaste and prosperity

progress is often just a good idea away

Every change starts in your mind. So if you change your thinking into the right way, other things will turn out for the better automatically.

Whats the portrait of a good thinker?

Seeing the Wisdom of Big-Picture Thinking

Unleashing the Potential of focused Thinking

Discovering the Joy of Creative Thinking

Recognizing the Importance of Realistic Thinking

Releasing the Power of Strategic Thinking

Questioning the Acceptance of Popular Thinking

Encouraging the Participation of Shared Thinking

Experiencing the Satisfaction of Unselfish Thinking

Enjoying the return of Bottom-Line thinking

So how do we start thinking big-picture? Outside the frame society has given us? How do we not just change our way of thinking but making it potentially greater than anybody elses? Where do we start?

And are all these things not neccessary to be successful in all parts of our lifes? Especially to rise up in Business?

I believe so, and nothing can top a group of big-picture thinkers networking with greater big-picture thinkers. For if you are a millionair, and the people you think and network with a millionairs; you also will always stay a millionair. But if you move your way up to a round of billionairs, you too should become one.

I myself am searching for a lot of answers.. so if anybody has found some for themselves please share.

namaste

Coming from a background in the Arts, many of these ideas are well practiced, however most of my piers, myself included tend not to be bottom line thinkers, or thinkers who always share. These are two attributes I am changing about myself in an effort to be a better Artrepreneur (Visit and join my pod if you are an Artrepreneur or Entrepreneur who loves the arts). I appreciate any reflections or thoughts people with more traditional business backgrounds can share with artists about making a succesful business out of ones creativity.

why are some people successful and others not? there aremany answers... but which one is right.. lets consider some of the more popular ones:

-successful people get better oppotunities

-people who do not succeed have bad backgrounds

-education makes all the difference

-failure results from bad breaks

-some people are smart; others aren't

-lazy people dont succeed

now, how true are these statements? i think we made up these excuses for ourself to make it ok if we dont succeed. But isnt the simple answer that more likely negative people, who dont broaden their horizon, are the ones who lose at the end of the day?!

If you start thinking big-picture.. looking at you"problems" from different angles.. different perspectives and peoples eyes..dont you think you will be able to start think in solutions and possibilities? i dont think so. i know so! big-picture is futuristic, the present and the past from one united viewpoint, so i believe.

now what do you think will increase the odds for your success?

small thinking or big-picture?

scattered thinking or focused thinking?

restrictive thinking or creative thinking?

fantasy thinking or realistic thinking?

random thinking or strategic thinking?

limited thinking or possibility thinking?

impulsive thinking or reflective thinking?

popular thinking or innovative thinking?

solo thinking or shared thinking?

selfish thinking or unselfish thinking?

wishful thinking or bottom-line thinking?

to be succesful you need to think your way to the top, start now!!

and if you fail.. fail forward fast!! you live and you learn.. try to live longer and learn faster!!

today matters!! lets be go-getters together.. for one mind is powerful.. a group of alike thinking minds unstoppable! lets discover our possibilities together and grow.
