<p> Every year there's a battle of the bands in Lawrence called the Deadwood Derby that starts with a month of online voting. Everybody gets one vote a day and then the top 16 bands compete live. I've talked with the organizers and this is a very fair competition - they've really done their best to make sure it's about musicality and a band's ability to rally friends and fans. So I'm calling on you!

This is a HUGE competition; there's over $5000 in prizes for first place (listed below). Placing in this would be a considerable leap towards my dreams of professional musicianship.

You DON'T have to live in Lawrence to vote; you just need to be registered on Lawrence.com, which never sends you any email. EVER! So please. If you want to support visionary music:

*Tell your friends to sign up at Lawrence.com and vote for me as frequently as they can through March. Signing up only takes a minute and there is ZERO obligation to Lawrence.com to do anything - it's just to grant you access to their forums.*

If I place in the top 16, I'll send everybody who gave me their daily vote prints of my artwork and a copy of my unreleased live/electronic improvisation CD.

Everything you could want to know about the competition you can find out via

www.lawrence.com/contests/deadwoodderby2007/

or by emailing me.

Have a beautiful day!
