Evolution of Consiousness

This is also in my Enlightenlinks, but I’d like to post this here partly because that the theory on consciousness that Peter Russell proposes, is strikingly similar to “the Yaqui way of knowledge”. But also because I really love the idea of the evolution of consciousness. It changes, like everything in this universe, it changes and evolves. He explaines with great skill and clearity, a theory that is very coherent and fits perfektly with the Shamans philosophy/way of seeing.

Peter Russell proposes that we stand on the threshold of a major leap in evolution, as significant as the emergence of life itself, and the essence of this leap is inner spiritual development. Moreover, he maintains that it is only through such a shift in consciousness that we will be able to manage successfully the global crises now facing us.
