Hotel Infinity on Comfusion

Phase 1 of the site is in development and will officially launch on the International Day of Peace (Sept. 21) 2007

What follows embodies much of the concept behind the Cultural Fusion website. It will house shops featuring art and virtual gifts (sponsor the care of HIV/AIDS orphan, art or school materials, garden tool kit for a family, clean water for a villiage, build a room in an orphange for HIV/AIDS children, etc)  to benefit community renewa…a knowledge library as part of the WebAntiPhon:Clear_CRM_Strategy offered to a range of business services located in the hotel, professional and social clubs, the virtural location for Cultural Fusion offline Events, as well as the home for the broadcast network that will provide media outlets for Cultural Fusion connected events and communities. The virutal environment is the field lab for the art district community renewal project model.
 
The CF-GoGameRoom internet Art:Work Collaboration with Ronald_Wopereis to function as the Hotel_Infinity:Lobby entertainment for Hotel_Infinity in Comfusion as a place where the world can work or visit. The Ring_Galaxy is the model for this relationship that creates the Art:Work. Cultural Fusion is the Event that results in this Ring_Galaxy called Comfusion. CF_Website:Visitors can observe a CF-GoGameRoom but must become a Member to play.

 
Applying something along the lines Eve Online in terms of a virtual community constructed offering 3D gaming technology version and a 2D version for this phase 1 implementation. Think mixed use development, inclusive and welcoming but with community standards in place…imagine the Galleria and updated for a new age using the idea of Hotel_Infinity.

More than just a website

The site will launch with the Hotel Infinity Gift Shop first. We are partnering with those in need and those working with them to support their empowerment. Starting with a vision of a better life we want to help to create it.

As one our CF art projects, Hotel Infinity is not just a website, it is my invitation to you to reconsider refugee camps and similar approaches typically applied when helping those in need. So i'm starting by applying the concept of luxury merchandizing to gifts that really matter.

Also, that FSFL (representing and embracing HIV/AIDS orphans and deprived children) as the first guests/residents of Hotel Infinity is intended to represent an alternative approach…questioning the context those in need are usually welcomed into. These projects will take initial steps towards automating global social responsibility.. We start by questioning our assumptions around rescue assistance…and inviting people to question our current approach to helping in times of need.

Why is the luxury treatment extended to dictators and not to those who have been recently traumatized?

Instead of spaces that invite a feeling of safety and healing, a system that is often dehumanizing (even if well intentioned) is what is typically offered. For example, it is not uncommon for the tent of women who have been raped to have a sign posted outside to make it easier for the press to find them for interviews.

In the book “The Tipping Point” there is mention of a study demonstrating that prison as a context influenced people's behavior in negative ways. I wonder if a different context for emergency shelter would create less post victimization of refugees or those seeking help?
