Why Choose to Be Child-Free In Order to Save Children's Lives

This is from another thread here, and since someone had obviously not read all the posts I'm highlighting this for all to easily see why having one child in a developed nation is so much more oppressive to the planet than a child in a less-developed nation is:

In the days to come we need to be compassionate to all with understanding.  We also need to be aware of the facts at hand.

More than understanding and intention: we need action- from all of us, that includes you and me. I'm up for the challenge.
