This was my first poem on Zaadz. I am so inspired by the future of Africa and the chance that we will defeat the issues that continue to challenge us. I hope you enjoy it….


The Being of One

One smile, one face
one heart finds it's place
One hand, one to feel
One will keep me real

One day, one night
One nation, one might
One moment… one time
One mountain to climb

One hope, one dream
one to hear the scream
One pain, one tear
it is our worst fear

We live today…
united as one,
one people, one world
one love, one sun.

One life, one day
we will find one way
One wound to stop bleeding
One hunger to keep feeding

One chance to be great
One hungry child's fate
One face, one smile
One cause worthwhile.


We have a chance… a chance to change, a chance to be more than we have ever been before. Take a chance… give someone a chance to be more than they ever thought possible.
