Simply stated, concise, honest.
So there we are, Robin, our 5 year old, our 2.75 year old, and I sitting in a local Sushi restaurant for lunch. Everything is going normal. You know, the waiting for the food, the fidgeting with the chopsticks, the usual family small talk, when out of nowhere our youngest blurts out, “I'm the one who farted!”
Not even three yet and already quite aware of the silent questions adults keep to themselves when they smell or hear something familiar. She wanted to clear it up for everyone without any embarrassment nor any guilt.
So where or when in our lives do we begin to lose this natural and pure Zen outlook?
At least we as adults have the chance to learn again what life is all about from the children who know best.
