This is a long and varied discussion in the Integral Pod, in the Chapel Perspicacious Room, started by Irmeli. Just about any perspective one could take is represented there, and lots of great analyses and insights and lots of wonderful personal stories. The thread is very uplifting and inspiring, not just challenging and expanding our minds.

Thanks a bunch for the info and great suggestion for Tom, Meenakshi. If someone thinks THAT thread in One Light is of general enough interest as a compendium of sacred texts, it would be quite appropriate, methinks, to donate that thread to this Library! But it might get complicated. Probably that whole Library would be a great Collective Wisdom compendium, hey, we've never had a whole Room donated before, but, why not?? It might work!

I could appropriately retitle this thread if someone wants to donate here a thread from the One Light Library containing the link to the website Tom is enthused about!

As Tom is seeking support for this website, perhaps the Gaia Lounge is a good place to post, as there are many members there.

Hi Tom, I am glad you found a great place. I am going to leave your post up, but for future reference this Library is for threads from the Gaia Community discussion groups or blogs.

A good way to call attention to a great website is to put it in Gaia Community Bookmarks section. Did you do that?? Access Bookmarks in the column on the left under "Me."

Also there might be Groups here who would be interested, such as One Light Many Windows. Suggest you let them know about this particular one; it sounds relevant there.

Centria was working through this issue for herself and put her thoughts down in a blog. For her, it was about "the journey" and she said that the journey "had more to do with embracing both sides of the polarities: negative and positive, light and dark, bliss and suffering." She believed that "If you say to yourself: this darkness is not true, I do not want it, I hate it, I want to escape this.....then there is a subtle contraction away from the "what is" of life."

The discussions seemed to open the flood gates, not only for Lightworkers to come forth and identify themselves as such and just what is a Lightworker anyway?

Also explored some really good, related concepts, such as -

[1] Acceptance of "what is" as reality or the avoidance of that

[2] Defining the terms - light, dark, ignorance, awareness - and lots of discussion about what is really meant by those words

[3] Effects of positivity, especially the extreme kind including upon those who are suffering, marginalizing their need to work through that in their own way.

[4] How does the term Lightworker differ from healers of the Reiki and Quantum types or from the path called Clear Light?

Anyway, there is just a whole lot of good content there and I would say that many of the "stars" of Gaia came out to shine their unique individual light upon the subject.
