I want to create a comic that is both beautiful but has a great story but on top of that I want it to express my views of life, politics, and love etc. And THEN on top of all that I want it to have a twist :D (will not talk further on that :P) |

Neko, you can find documented information on the term business model here [answers.com] and here [wikipedia]. It should help out with its meaning. Of course, the meaning I was implying has to do with the way in which a comic artist generates income. |

Well said, both of you - I’m a huge fan of Chris Ware and some others that really expand the boundries beyond the Dan Clowes brand of misery. Julie Doucet? Some others - but it all comes down to good writing - characters and visual style. A newer and more intimate style of story-telling. As for the business model? Seems like distribution is key. Maybe that’s a way to crack the next level of comic artists in a collective (an idea I love!). Keep up the good work! |
