Contemplation & Beyond

Some of us believe that contemplation is the keystone of an integrated life consisting of work and/or other meaningful activity, an ongoing relationship with God (however you may define God), and relating effectively with others: friends, family, co-workers and others in your community and in the world.

In addition to being a forum for discussing the above...(more)

Putting on the Mind of Christ - Jim Marion w/intro by Ken Wilber. One of the best descriptions of the seven levels of consciousness, christ consciousness, non-dual consciousness, dark night of the senses, and dark night of the soul (and more). I've been immersed!!! in this book for the past several days.

Pieces:

The Last American Generation

Hi Jayne,

Yes, I read this book a few years ago, and simply couldn't put it down.  It's excellent, also recommend, The Death of the Mythic God by the same author.  Wish he would write some more.   His books are recommended reading on our training programme for spiritual directors.  Good news for the christian churches when we have people like Jim Marion writing.

My last 3 days have been literally consumed in reading this book. I have filled 1/2 a journal and worn out 2 pens. Have Death of the Mythic God on my list.
