… And I should add, I’m a new convert here. Up until recently, I’ve feared napping, afraid I might sleep too long and miss out on hours of project-fun. But lately, I’ve been getting fascinated with the Uberman Sleep Schedule, in which a person takes a 20-minute nap every six hours – in essence, sleeping only two full hours per day. Not so sure this is the right path for me, but as part of my explorations, I’m incorporating 20-minute naps into every day. And WOW! Who knew that only 20 minutes could re-set the creative mind so effectively? So interesting – if I sleep any longer than 20 minutes, I’m out cold, and sleep for a couple hours. But in 20 minutes, I wake up refreshed, and find that I have these amazing creative bursts afterward. Not to mention, with the right quilt, some flannel, and a nice CD, the nap itself is a really delightful thing. :-) |

I like to take the twenty minute nap as well. Most of the time I never really fall asleep, though. Just zone out, so to speak; have some really intense day-dreams and then sort of 'come to' and feel refreshed nad creatively energized. I highly reccomend it. |
