Artist assistants stand next to 3,604 cups of coffee which have been made into a giant Mona Lisa in Sydney, Australia. The 3,604 cups of coffee were each filled with different amounts of milk to create the different shades!!

Off the top of my head...bed or housebound folks, handicapped who can no longer take long walks, those with certain types of behavioral disorders, and of course nature lovers everywhere.

What about places where nature is a theme, such as resturants (many have televisions)? I know there was a cool nature resturant place in SeaWorld or one of those cluster of parks, where there were televisions showing nature shows, I would have found one of these more entertaining to have on the set, as I couldn't really hear what the show announcers were saying anyway.

..just a few ideas, I'm sure there are many more!

Hi,

This group looks like a good place to seek some advice on my new project. I'm a nature videographer and have recently launched a new website,
Peaceful Walks, with the goal of helping people relax and deal with stress in a natural, entertaining way. I hope to accomplish this via short, relaxing videos (about 3-minutes long) of nature scenes I've filmed from locations across the United States.

What I'd like is to get some feedback/advice/suggestions on this concept. Who might find this service of value? Are there certain businesses or organizations that might use this service? I think it's a pretty unique offering on the Web, but I need help in deciding what market to target.

Designing an eco-friendly wooden tree studio.

Hi all!
I am working on ideas for my wooden studio/tree house.
My husband and I are going to be building it by ourselves.
This is such an exciting project for me. I love building things... being and artist... but I also can't wait to have a space of my own to work on my art.
I will keep you all posted on the progress. Please share any ideas or advice you may have! I would love to hear them. :)

That is incredible, actually. To think that so much can happen in so little time. I have also been thinking this past while how everything always seems to be working out. Somehow I end up fumbling my way through and finding the right path. Getting exactly what I need or want or dream. Even when I don't always see it clearly or know what it is going to be.

I am so happy to hear of your journaling which sounds so inspirational! Jodi, thank you soo much for bringing me back to this post written 2 years ago! Makes me chuckle because now two years down the line several books are flowing into manifestation and back then they were a seed in the ether which I was wondering about. I'd forgotten that dream while the books were being birthed. I am yet again humbled by the excellence of Guru Life and it's perfection!

Just reread this great post!
You are amazing. I have been journaling forever. But this past year I have really been doing it almost religiously. Wow! It has helped me focus so much. I have been doing so much more writing and drawing and painting... the list goes on.

Do artists or non-artists tend to be happier?

Is there some truth to the notion of tortured artists and troubled writers, or, instead, is creativity an essential part of a happy life? Come discuss your experience and tell us what you think.

f we take artist back to age 2 or 3, that is the age most of us know our purpose lines in life. When we all think back there is something known where the seed of our inherent talent begins whether enjoying writing, acting, coloring, design, crafts, music, dance, sports, computer IT, etc. it all begins there. When the authoritarian system of school stops art programs they are creating non-artists but the original purpose is still there. Once we are over school rule, we can get lucky and get back to our field of art as there are no more peeps to stop us now…even the parents that say “you need a real job”. Artist of any type IS a real job… check out the airwaves, tv, radio, cd's, theatre, books, filled with those that never went into agreement with “authority”… so its good to practice, practice, practice your dreams. They all do come true with this kind of persistence and moving asside other's considerations.

Thanks for sharing this with us. Very cool colour wheel! It is such a good thing to be aware of in any creative field. It gives a very clear understanding of our colour perception. Including complimentary colours.... one of my favourite concepts. :)

I found this site and downloaded this tool to help on color. it's free
http://www.colorjack.com/ They have some razzle dazzle color that was in the zone or wavelength of magenta. Color is one of my favorite perceptions out of the 57 perceptions.

Yes. The fact that something can exist because our brains perceive it, is incredible. Even if it is only the perception that gives it it's existence. Very Plato ;)

Hi, Jodi - yes, that was fascinating! I majored in Cognitive Science in college (study of cognition ... information processing in people and computers) - and have continued to really be intrigued by perception. The phrase "it's a product of our imaginations" takes on a whole lot of new layers in this context :-).

I just thought this was fascinating: Magenta is not a colour!
Please read about this. As a painter I find colour and the human eye absolutely intriguing.
