fractals assignment

Tom said May 21, 2007, 1:44 PM:

What I chose for my 'fear o' the day' was my fear of not revising, of leaving the words as they come out, or not having an editorial eye out as I write. I watched and listened to the fractal video and wrote as fast as I could, jotting down the thoughts the images brought up. Not my 'best' work, perhaps, but who cares? The work here was to face the fear. So often in this workshop we are not looking for pearls but merely experiencing the feeling of diving. If all we ever said was “blah blah blah” but still did the spirit work, it would be a smashing success, one of the great artistic triumphs ever, the art of soul.

I dove. I saw. I learned. Mission accomplished.

I went back afterward and corrected the typos, which is kosherish, I hope, for what I was trying to do. Also inserted punctuation and the last word: Wind.

Ice spire sing, glowing dance light and color spiral into the night. All we see and all we sense is but the missing recompense within our mighty singing souls the place where all the colors go where I can see the bright-lit mind that hides inside them waves of time and space go fleeting by like spirals of calligraphy and souls slide in to speak to me and there we find the mystery, the mystery of Sandralex and thus and those and wes and yays. Where do we find such ulitmate love, curled in a crucifix of love and nest of sound and challenge seen why oh where are we spiralling into flames of love and shouts of light, darkness, clover, galaxy, sun, spin to the meaning of green and pink and violet yellow, musical images spinning webs of thought, spires of feeling, capital plenty, sound moving down, beauty stars, spirals, wind.

Love and Spiralling Essence,

Tom

Tom, I'm so proud of you!

chosing the fear dragon of not revising and stepping out into the bright light of day without editing (spell check doesn't count in my universe!) - you are my hero and my shining knight.

and, seriously, I was amazed following that stream of consciousness.
it has a rhythm to it, to me it comes across as a poem, and the images
are just wonderful, imagination and exquisite wording leave me stunned.

I was looking for lines to quote, finding myself unable to pick
any particular, they're all wonderful. ok, let's see what happens
if I force myself to pick three:

(first of all I notice how I have to hold myself back to not go and break the flow into the rhythm I see and feel - Tom, maybe you want to go back and carve the poem out? if not, I might do it secetly, at home, just for myself! ;)

All we see and all we sense is but the missing recompense within our mighty singing souls

souls slide in to speak to me and there we find the mystery, the mystery of Sandralex

where are we spiralling into flames of love and shouts of light, darkness, clover, galaxy, sun, spin to the meaning of green

wonderful, Tom.
mission accomplished, indeed. we're even. what's next? ;)

sending love,
Gabriele
