~ * ~

for

each moment

life offers

an opening…

we choose

the stance…

we may allow

circumstance to hold sway,

plagued by emotional

smorgorsbod,

we are emperors of our fate,

do we afford

unconditioned

good regard?

do we opine suspicion

and fear?

let us welcome the

myriad blessings

however they appear.

truly

our stance

jewelled,

our birthright

trembles

eternally before us,

the present is

wholly complete

and pristine.

let us then:

savour,

relish, accept

without fear

of

affray.

I love the meditative quality of your writing, Ant.  I get so much personally from the messages in your poetry along with appreciating the beautiful way you use language.

My favourite “jewel”:

truly
our stance
jewelled

our birthright
trembles
eternally before us

So elegantly done.  Thank you for posting this!

I loved this part :

for

each moment

life offers

an opening…

we choose

the stance…

How very true.. I love the way what most people would call “perspective” had been changed to an active and powerful “stance”.

Wonderful!

Awesome Ant ~  Let us make you the new superhero for the cartoon classic: The Tick.

At the risk of being “personal” in my response, I must say that this poem is Right Ontrack with experiences I have  been having lately, superbly in time with the gleanings on this end. Thank you!

This, especially, I like:

we are emperors of our fate,

do we afford

unconditioned

good regard?

&

let us welcome the

myriad blessings

however they appear.

Thank you Ant :)

namaste,
