Have you ever had a psychic experience?

michaelsits said Feb 2, 6:03 AM:

This was a response to a gaia Q&R question that i thought i should post here as well.

Yes, almost daily, if not even more frequenlty than that.

But,
when i saw this Q&R, an experience rom when i was in my late tees
came to mind.  Tis was the first unavoidable to accpet as reality
experience, it scared me through to mey bones!

My Aunt Dee
Dee, my  moms sister, was in the hosptial recieving chemotherapy for
breast cancer.  Both cnacer and chemotherapy were pretty new to america
at this time and were still somewhat vague to my teenage mind.  She was
doing pretty well and i had just vsited her at Montclair Hospital on
Thursday befoer going down the shore for Memoral Day Weekend with my
best friend Adam and some female friends we were staying with.  Friday
night and Saturday consisted mostly of drinking, and well, drinking.
we slept late on Sunday morning and were determined to spend the day on
the beach even though it was overcast and threatenign rain.  We were
teenagers at the shore and we were going to hang out on the beach no
matter what.  So, we were all lying on a big blanket covered by another
blanket to keep the wind from blowing the sand all over us.  I fell
asleep from the comfort and hangover.  While sleeping, i had a dream
that didn’t feel much like a dream, more like i was watching real life
unfold on a TV set. It woke me right up.  I woke up Adam and Wendy to
share with them about my dream.  They told me i was still drunk and
hallucinating but ididn’t buy it. I had seen my Aunt Dee Dee and say
Goodbye to me. I knew it was real somehow, or at least something more
than a dream  I told Adam i was leaving and driving home since my Aunt
was about to die.
He replied,” Michael, you know the doctor said
she is doing great and they said she has at least another year or two,
if not longer.  Chill out man.”

I sat up and again stated i was
driving home at that it was cool for him to stay with the girls and not
to come with me. I started collecting my stuff and he saw i was
serious, not somehting i was noted for in that period of my life.  He
said, “i never saw you get your shit together so quickly before, i will
come back with you”. And we left.  the traffic was pretty bad abd it
took about two and half hours to drop him off anad then drive to my
dads where i was living then.

i entered the house and asked my
dad if there was any news abot Aunt Dee Dee. He said no.  The phoine
rang, it was my mom. I nervously took the phine from my dad and said
“Hello. How is Aunt Dee Dee” to my mom.
“Great! I just left her. They said she might even be able to go home in a day or so!”

“Really?  Wow that is so cool!”

“Michael, wait i have call waiting beeping me. I will put you on hold OK?”

My mom clicked me out. It was such a long two minutes. I knew i nmy belly what happened. I started to cry befoe she came back.

“Michael, Aunt Dee Dee just passed away. Gramma just called me.”

This
event terrorized me for a while.  Many years later, it became my
jumping off point into understanding how many senses and resources we
possess. I still miss my Aunt Dee Dee but am gratfeul that her passing
opened up some doors for me through the pain and grief of losing my
“other’ mom.

Thanx for sharing this Michael.  I’ve had similar experiences.  Its a real blessing to experience and know that there is a reality beyond our understanding.

Be well,

Dear Michael,

This is heartwarming. The experience as a whole. The flashbacks on the beach as a teenager, huddled under a blanket with friends. The daze. Dozing off. The dream. Adam’s observation: “i never saw you get your shit together so quickly before, i will
come back with you”
The realization. The upset (feeling terrorized by it). The opening of doors through pain and grief of losing one’s ‘other mom’.

Yes, I too have many psychic experiences, which in the beginning used to be very similar to the way you describe the process. It still is much the same, less freaking out. Then again, it all depends how closely related I am to the one who is passing on.

Thanks so much for sharing.

Love,
Nell ;-)

dave and nell, thanks for sharing.
This was an unexpected piece, it just burst out of me.
I felt the i character’s force and fear with such energy.  It was an unavoidable piece to write even though seconds before i had not even thought about the subject.

Adam was an interesting character as well.  It is neat when there is a sidekick to tell the reader stuff that would take much longer otherwise, very hollywood-like but helpful at times as well.

I wonder what we would be like as a species if we all embraced our “other” gifts?  Would it be progress or an obstacle?  Progress seems the obvious answer but i am not convinced, if so, then why is it not this way?  I never assume that if we accept the ‘good’ and drop the ‘bad’ that things will improve.  There are more to it than that; lessons, teachings, experiences, etc.  Imagine knowing anything of value without pain, suffering, fear, resentment and hate?  It seems that we would be less developed.  My mentor has often said the the shadow is our teacher.  What wold happen if we released the shadow, no more teachings?

Peace
michael

Hey Michael,

I never assume that if we accept the ‘good’ and drop the ‘bad’ that
things will improve.  There are more to it than that; lessons,
teachings, experiences, etc.  Imagine
knowing anything of value without pain, suffering, fear, resentment and hate?  It seems that we would be less developed. Excellent point, Michael. The whole judgment, attachment pattern alone is enough to trigger the scope negative emotions you mention.

Yes, what would happen if we all embraced our “other” gifts? In ourselves, and in others. So that the woman at the toll booth who is screaming at you from behind the register and through the open window - getting on your bloody nerves - can be seen as the angel who is teaching a lesson on boundaries and how others experience your own loudmouthed expressions, or the thief who mugs you is giving you a crash course on detachment. Once that lesson is learned, I bet the screaming stops and the mugger will find someone else to mess with as he can’t get that high off your non-resistance. Now that’s progress. Would that not be boring eventually? Fat chance, as there are always new ways to trigger and liberate ourselves from limitations.

What wold happen if we released the shadow, no more teachings? Ha! That would make an interesting dance, much like Peter Pan who can never seem to get his shadow to stick. Still, he does have a shadow, much like all of us earthlings.

Love,
Nell ;-)

thanks fro sharing nell. funny thing about the written word, it can be misunderstood.  this is one of those cases but an itneresting reflection on your part regardless.

I wonder what we would be like as a species if we all embraced our “other” gifts?

What i meant by this is the gifts like learning through silence, communication on another level, healing through prayer and touch, memories of our pasts before we were who we are now, experiences with wisdom obtained directly, etc.  The real gifts.  What would it be like?  if we were all experiencing life on this vibration, would we learn anything who or what would we be able to share our gifts with?  If no one needs anything, why live without service?  Folks like talking about a new age of consciuosness, have they ever thought about the costs of such an age?  Woull a world without service be worth living in?

Peace
michael

I see, Michael. Got carried away there musing about the gifts of the shadow. Glad you enjoyed reading it anyway.

gifts like learning through silence, communication on another level,
healing through prayer and touch, memories of our pasts before we were
who we are now, experiences with wisdom obtained directly, etc.  The
real gifts.  What would it be like?

This is something I do experience every day now. There are quite a few kindred spirits around me who do too, and many who do not. I am a healing arts practitioner.

We create our own reality, and I believe not everyone is going to choose the same reality. Just like there are city folks, country folks and people who like a little of both. There are people who enjoy visiting other realms, people who do it often, and people who do it only once in a while. Then there are others who just are not into it at all. Some are blocked from having these experiences. Some are awakening and working hard to uncover these blockages. It is all good and wholesome, also when you just are not into the whole consciousness movement.

The new age? That’s an interesting term. Astrology wise the new age is not all that new. Astrologers call it the Age of Aquarius. Personally I LOVE a lot of the musings about this age. I can hear the music already: ”This is the dawning of the AGE OF AQUARIU-HUS”. The universe is so much bigger than our wondrous little planet with this made up thing called time.

The evolution of consciousness started at the beginning of isness. In my view this consciousness movement is all about service. It’s about being open to what serves the best interest of all concerned. And about joyful participation in a circle of givers and receivers, simultaneously.

if we were all experiencing life on this vibration, would we learn anything?
How about learning through play? Observe how children do it. They fail all the time, and either loose interest to find something more fitting or keep failing at it until, bingo, got it! Failure without trauma. That’s possible on the kind of vibration you are talking about. It sure makes learning a lot more fun!

If no one needs anything, why live without service?
I do not know of such a world. In order to be alive, I need oxygen to breathe as does every living being. So I trust we’ll all continue to have certain needs. I visualize a world in which every form of service is nurturing and loving. Rather then serving just a few, it is about serving all. I visualize a world in which health care services is about maintenance. Proper nutrition, including vibrational and herbal remedies, and exercize (including some form of meditation - a walk in the woods).

Such a world already exists, btw. There are people who have since passed on who used to be part of the Light Hospitals in Europe (where healing through prayer and touch was a vital part of treatment, next to natural remedies). The last such hospital burnt down in 1921. Hanna Kroeger was such a person. She left a legacy of remedies and instructions for every possible ailment. I am a fan since I tried her vibrational remedy for salmonella. I was pregnant at the time(!) and in two days I was on my feet doing errands again from being completely whiped out as this violent thing hit me hard. In five days I was good as new. It took my husband, who had the same thing and is a smoker, 3 more days to recover. Still a lot shorter then the 3 weeks most people experience when they go the anti-biotic route, overuse of which is known to cause salmonella and other superbugs. For more info, go to http://www.hannasherbshop.com/ There are more people like Hanna Kruger who have passed on their legacies. It’s here for all who are open to it.

I’ve read somewhere: why worry about what if - rejoice what is! Yet it is with joy I respond to your query.

Love,
Nell ;-)

Hi Michael,  Nell nudged me over to read this.  It’s fascinating.  Seems like many of us have had similar psychic experiences.  Interesting how it terrorized the young boy for a long time.  I’m wondering why it terrorizes people rather than fills them with joy?  I suspect it’s because it feels like the stable world of the known is falling apart?

This was a wonderful sharing of that young boy’s experience, of his opening beyond his partying and everyday experiences into something which transcends and points to a larger awareness.

Thank you for posting this here, Kathy
