· What is the act of writing, is it a compilation and rearrangement of random thoughts within, or is it continuous flow of ideas, notions and insights like a movie flows? How does was one transcribe on paper a meaningful arrangement of the chaotic and seemingly infinite cascade of thoughts? Thoughts to me are like falling snowflakes, while some appear suspended. Most times, when I catch a falling thought and attempt to decipher it, it like a snowflake in the palm of the hand, melts, evaporates and disappears forever. When I select a snowflake (thought) that is suspended, they are always a familiar with no apparent value, but nonetheless those thoughts are in time, existing as persistent memories that includes an array of endless limitations.——————————————————————————————————————It is these limitations that truly interest me because of the power and possibilities that they usurp from this living thing. Living life guided by a list of limitations the size of a Manhattan phone book is not only onerous, but deleterious to a life well lived. It’s like being in the backseat of life, experiencing it second handedly. The true struggle in life is to rise above this enormous weight, stand on my own 2 feet, and look from the point at which I stand, see with undaunted eyes, free from the lenses of memories and limitations that have filtered out the possibilities of creation , expression and a life lived intentionally.————————————————————So comes the question, what purpose do I have, or what purpose will I create? At first glance, it appears to be an arduous and perhaps self-serving question if the answer is to emanate from me. But, if true wisdom exists in the universe and we are the inlet to that wisdom (As Emerson has suggested), then what does it take to remove that barrier that prevents the expression of life and be a receiver its possibilities and facilitate its creation?—————————————————— |
