michaels activity grinding to a halt

michaelsits said Jul 27, 5:50 AM:

OK, so i feel the need to share what is going on in my life right now and the near future.  I have been travelign o weekdns to see and experience what i did not get a chance to do the year i have bben here, yes, it has been a year already. My visa ends on august 29th at which time i wll fly to mongolia and spend an indefinite amount of time wandering about, mostly in the gobi desert.

Till then, i have visits to taiwan, hong kong, jeju island and japan again before i leave korea. I teach two more weeks that are spread out over the next few weeks. In short, i am busy!

Beyond the logistics, the person i consider my spiritual sister is coming to korea to teach and will be here some time next week or so. I cant wait to see her!  Also, i will be studying with the highest living lineage bearer of Reiki while i am nin japan. In some ways, this is what i feel i came to korea to do. I know i would not have made the effort or spent the money to train with him if i lived in the states. These two thinsg are keeping me at a high level of excitement. It is hard for me to stay present with all that is about to take place, since much of it still needs arrangements to be made.

I am feeling sad about leaving korea, can't lie. I also feel done. If i dont get out of here, i sense i will end up married to a woman that i have skirted around for the last half year. It is not what i signed up to do and have to be careful to not let me convince myself that doing it anyway is OK, its not.  we do not have a torrid love affair going on or anything like that. Korean social order has kept us at a bit of a distance and i am grateful for this.  Otherwise i am afraid i would not have the strength to honor my Higher Self or her and let my personal desires and needs color the Truth, as best i can discern it.

Mongolia. Terrified, excited, aligned, distracted by, concerned, consumed, thrilled, in awe and generally itching to bot get there and hope sojehting keeps me from getting there. I sense deeply i will be shaken and stirred at my core by this experience. Stripped naked in a sense internally.  We'll see how it plays out…

I just felt the need to share my process and to also explain my disappearing act, which will probably be moer so i the next few months due to being homeless and without a computer while wandering in and near the desert, literally. Please do not be offended i post something and you comment it and i do not return the honor.  Please know i love an care about all of you very much but my focus is elsewjere although bits of wiritng here and there.

Peace,
michael- the about to be the homeless, clueless, unemployed member of the DD community waberuing through a desert that doesn't have sand and has weather ranging from -40 to +120.

Wow, Michael, it sounds like you have some really incredible experiences ahead of you! I am awed at your strength and courage, and I wish you safe travel and everything else you need to get the most out of your journeys.

Walkies!!!!
Some of us have to go to the mountain.  Be as open there as you were to new experiences in Korea, and you will come back full.
All the best-
Phil

Oh Michael. I will miss you around here but I say Godspeed to you. The places you go are really mindblowing. I just can't wait to see what you will conjure from this.
Make sure you'll have warm clothes (mommy talk heh), Mongolian steppes can be tricky towards fall.

Thousands of vitual hugs and good wibes. I was almost about to say: May the Force be with you! LOL

Love,
Nono

I think the most wonderful gift we can give ourselves is the gift to be openly vulnerable. My experience of your writing has been to learn this for myself. (maybe that is just me and what I read?)

Another thing I have learned is that we do not own our experiences, our experiences own us. How would you feel if you saw that Mongolia and your Reiki teacher are equally excited to know you are visiting and sharing time with them?

We all have equal gifts to share and I thank you dearly for ones I receive in your words. The way you share a story is unique and a joy to read. I look forward to more.

xx azyh

Michael… oh michael. Thanks so much for sharing here.  You are
amazing. &, I know this is a scary adventure, but I feel sure you
will gain so very much from it. Any word you can drop here will be much
appreciated - don't worry about acknowledging our comments… (did you
see the piece I just posted in the Quotes room? have a read of the
whole article, written by a Zen monk..).http://groups.gaia.com/creativewriting/conversations/view/463958

I will be thinking of you and hope you take a little bit of me to
Mongolia with you. And if you happen upon a singer in the desert, will
you think of me?

Much love,

Sandra

Thank you all for your support, i appreciate it!
I have returned from Taiwan and Hong Kong and enjoyed both, Taiwan i felt mreo connected to in its balance of simplicity and and modernity. I could live there.  Hk is too intense and busy for me but found some softer, gentler islands and enjoyed them more than HK itself.

This is my last week teaching! I am excited to let go fo the daily process and all that goes with it.  Slwoing down and paying attention again will be welcomed in my life. I was not as succesful doing that here this year.

Next week; Japan and Reiki Traning. I am havign trouble cointaining my excitement. He is the real thing and i will receive one-on-one training from him.  It is rare we get to study with someone like Rev Hyakuten Inamoto, at least maybe fro me it is.

Then i come back here, wrap things up and head to Mongolia on the 29th! I can't believe it actually is happening (and i am crazy enough to go throug with it).  The gobi desert has been invading my dreams since late winter and time to experience it physically as well.

It is has been both brutal and satisfying seeing all the posts on DD these dyays since i have not read anyof them. Knowong and felling the enrgy has been great for me- inspiring, even though not wirting or reading. Just the presence of it has been helpful. Thanl you for all sharing and diving. especially fro nonp and her nrainstorm and hers and azyh's energy towards the montly moderating role.  Great stuff!

I started packing tonight-not for the desert or japan, for storage. Kinda straneg packing for three separate process at the same time; ungrounding and confusing but funny to watch myself try to figure which goes where and why or why not.

Thats my sharing for now. Sorry for being self-centered only, someday i will be able contribute again.

Peace,
michael

Yeah, things are really lively around here now :)

Michael, I am so happy for you. For the Reiki first and then Gobi & Mognolia. I bet the people over there will treat you really nice. I've seen some documentaries from there and it is a heartwarming place.

Wonderful thing that you will be able to be in stillnes and open up your mind to new things. I so much look forward to read your experiences.

Love,
Nono
