Assignment: Solitary Confinement

Sandra said Oct 4, 2008, 10:13 AM:

Another one thanks to Deena Metzger:

Imagine being sentenced to spend an indefinite amount of time in solitary confinement. Climb into the 'world' as fully as possible, letting arise whatever 'character' and circumstance that brought about this situation.

Enter into the experience of one day. Describe the life in minute detail - the inner and outer life. What is loved? Hated? Felt? Seen? Heard? Smelled?

Write for 20 minutes, not editing, going 'fearward' etcetera.

Post the piece up the Responses to Assignments board. If you want the work to be anonymous, send it for posting to one of the moderators.
