Peace Portal Supporting 7.7.07 Save Our Selves Concert - ReportPeter said Jul 8, 2007, 11:06 AM: |

Hi, Well, after the fact, my attempt at staging a peace portal, did not happen. I am glad I had friends to test with all day on Saturday (learning the Stickcam interface). I spent most of the day, helping friends debug their technology. But, not one person from Zaadz showed up that I could see (in two hours of monitoring) from 7pm to 9pm. Of course that would be becuase people on the mainland were in bed sleeping! So it was a failed experiment in community building. What do you think are the reasons? |

I am looking at all the posts with my name and no others. I guess this “place” blog or whatever is just an extention of my journal entries. I hope you enjoyed the concert for a Greener World? I was at a party, hosting the PETER ROSEN corner with a video projector sharing our online gathering (3 people made it in that I am aware of - none of them from zaadz), my images, animations, video feedback, live interactive media and of course making music by singing songs people like to sing along with. It was the best of both worlds for me. As for the PEACE PORTAL, I was too distracted as well intereacting with physical reality to keep checking to see if anyone had showed up in the chat room. Then someone showed up at the party with an iPhone and the night was over for interactions with live folks. I got my hands on it and explored everything. A great device! I got to teach its owner how to use it (being a bit more adept at computing and Mac modes). We took photos (which were a bit weak in quality and clarity compared to the images my cellphone takes with a smaller chip) and I set up an email account on it so we could send the pix via email to my computer (and then back to the iPhone). What a cool little device! I am writing the rest in my actual blog at Creativity Cafe. If you like you can head on over. We can talk later today! |
