Morning Glory

Nicola said Jan 25, 7:03 AM:

This morning, a gentle feeling… a cosmic nudge to sit and be still.  Closing my eyes and feeling the familiar wrap of sweet energy around me, enveloping me… Breathing in and out and feeling the air moving through the channels, filling me up.  God is breathing me… animating this body, this vessel, this creation that I know as me.

This early morning connection inspires me to write my first poem of the morning and so it is…

Good morning!

Very nice indeed, Nicola

If your still and you listen

   you’ll hear the padding of primitive feet.

If your still and look

   you’ll see the great transparency.

When your still all things move through you

   and you through them.

But this only happens when we’re still.

When we’re still true movement is possible.

   It’s true movement that brought us in

   and true movement that guides us out.

God is the motion in the movement of you.

   And therein lies the wonderment of simple being.

as if it were in me

sliding in like butter
on my toast ;-)

mmm, yes,
so nice to break the fast
in the blue mountains
laced by snow
and in the desert ‘neath a coyote moon
as the peepers peek from their condos
in hotel saguaro

this is SO INSPIRING!

So, so inspiring to feel you both here with me, tasting a bit of Morning Glory any time of the day and precious night!

This morning, again the call to be still and commune with the Divine.  I have no doubt that this call is present 24 hours a day.  Maybe in the mornings, when I just awake, I am most receptive.   Living a life of prayer and devotion have been on my mind for the last two years.  The feeling to really embrace this seems much stronger recently.  Perhaps this is why I created Dancing With The Divine and you are here with me.  No accidents, I am sure, that we are dancing this divine dance together!

I love seeing who will find us here, who will join us, for I am definitely feeling inspired to leave things be and not send invitations out!  This feels like a sweet adventure that we are on together and I am feeling blessed to share it with you!

Enjoy a day filled with grace and God’s sweet blessings!

Good day my fellow wayfarers.
Nicola, just before I read your post I was thinking about your saying ‘lets see who drops by.’  I like that idea, very insightful, and look how it’s going!!
You my friend, are a Divine Connector, and as such, you’ve got a ticket to ride wherever your soul desires.

Morning you glorious beings!  Mike, with your lovely words,

“you’ve got a ticket to ride wherever your soul desires.”

you have literally brought song to this still dark waking up morning!  All kinds of lyrics running through my brain!

I’ve got two tickets to paradise… (Is that Bruce Springsteen?)
You’ve got a ticket to ride… (Is that the Beatles?)

The refrains are replaying sweetly in my head and I am feeling happy, thank you!  Got to take my son somewhere early this morning, so I will keep singing with joy in my heart and be back later!

Love to you both,

Nicola

Re: Morning Glory

Nicola said Feb 7, 7:33 AM:

I wake to the feeling of tenderness.  The ever sweet presence of the Divine and love gently wrapped around my soul.  The essence of well-being.  No where to go.  Just rest peacefully and be held in a moment of grace.

And so it is when I feel happy, often times my heart turns to song…

An old hymn from childhood…

“Fill thou my life, O Lord my God,
In every part with praise,
That my whole being may proclaim
Thy being and thy ways…”

Loving the feeling of “alrightness” surrounding me, the wonderful peace that that feeling brings.  Loving that it is not attached to anything in particular, but it seems to colour everything.

“Fill every part of me with praise:
Let all my being speak_
Of thee and of thy love, O Lord,
Poor though I be and weak…”

As a child, one of the best school memories that I have (and there are many!) is starting the morning off in the hall (auditorium) in prayer and song.  Standing together, singing wonderful hymns, singing the national anthem, saying the Lord’s prayer… loving the fellowship and sense of community and coming together.

“So shall each fear, each fret, each care,
Be turned into song:
And every winding of the way
The echo shall prolong.”

Something about our group echoes what I loved then.  Our coming together to dance with the Divine in whatever way we feel moved.  The joy of your company as we dance together!

Enjoy God’s grace in each precious moment today!

it is a wonderful picture you paint
of a lifetime of communion
what grace was bestowed!
by the very virtue of your receipt…

for it is the open vessel
that receives the heart
which ever flows…

lovely!

and it also speaks to the softer side of the law
a generous authority
to cup this child
swaddle her in love
and place her in the arms of a wise shepherd…

I felt my heart like a sweet flower just open and blossom in response to your lovely words mike, thank you.  We are like the warm energy of the sun for each other!  Beaming love outwards…

Lovely morning here in the Carolina mountains.  Blue jays playing outside my windows in the dark green rhododendron.  Not so cold this morning, so the leaves are unfurled and open to the bright morning sun.  Echoes in my heart!

Dew on the grass and the moss.  Already went for a morning walk with my dogs.  Love to be by the creek and hear the water.  Something so soothing about seeing the water rushing by, riding over the rocks, pooling in crevices and being still in parts…

I feel content.  The fragrance of grace feels beautiful.  I think that I will slip into that sentiment and play it out all day!

Morning glory to you!

Morning… glory, magnificence!  The wildness of the Divine on display through Mother Nature.  Pounding rain that gradually softens to a soundless cascading stream against my windows.  One loud boom of thunder to announce the show and it is the first thunder that I have heard for the year in my majestic mountains!

One of my Oracle cards this morning guides me to deep inhalations and exhalations and I feel the beautiful, electrifying energy course through my veins.  Life force… here, all around me.   I take it all in with much appreciation and breathe out a sense of well-being.

Good morning everyone!

My, my, It doesn’t get any better than that my dear friend.

I enjoy your wonderful “word pictures” when your expressing your love for your majestic mountains. It’s like my love for this high desert wilderness that has embraced me these many years. I call such wonderment’s of nature The Big Empty Open, because their big on Divine presents, empty of contrivance and open to spiritual contemplation. We are blessed to live in such Divine presence!

Back in 1972 after a day in the California mountains I just knew that solitude in nature was my souls directive, and wrote the following:

“I will go some day, I trust, to dance my joy
 high atop a mountain
   amongst the wind, the pines and the stones,
   quietly alone.
 The day will come, when I’ll go home
   to the big empty open.”

And now look at us, as we dance our joy in the stark moonlight,
and cast an ever increasing shadow of being.
Blessings to all, mike

Good morning dancers!

I am feeling much joy in the richness of nature outside my door.  Beautiful, lush forest steps away.  Sounds and sights that remind me that there is much alive in the greenery.

I am appreciating the changes that I have been through for me to consider the abundance of trees, wildlife within and have no fear about what's “out there.”  Many years of childhood going to bed at night, staring up at my bedroom windows with various fears flitting through my mind about who or what was “out there” that could “get” me or my sister in the next room.  Feeling the appreciation and thankfulness of the journey that I have made, both inwards and to this physical space, that have led to my peacefulness, contentment and ease with my home.

Wherever you are this morning, may you know peace, contentment and a lovely ease with all that is.  Blessed morning.

Love,

Nicola

yes nicola ;-)
i hear a welcome to the world
the gentle bump of wind on shutters
soothing the fears of a child
and beckoning her to settle
to look about and see
what's really there

i remember so many years
unable to sort through the gears of belonging
all jammed up, thinking myself the failure
for not feeling well met, well seen, well heard

so i became the failure i dreamed
in my own nightmare, which did welcome me!
and expressed outward through awkward avoidance
and mirrored corrugations of mind

but always i knew my only goal
was life, free of irrational fear
which i saw as death of spirit
demanding immediate action and purging
cauterizing and sterilizing the affected tissues

then one day i awoke
and the fear was gone
like dorothy whooshed back from oz
in technicolor, home
where she was always welcomed
even as she dreamt so helplessly otherwise ;-)

~~~
nature in springtime is all a'glory
bursting any heart who is willing to belong so utterly
and claim her with unwavering abandon…
it takes courage, nicola
to be so beautiful!
well done!
To live amongst the wonderment of nature is a divine gift.
To see where we've been and the changes that have been made, is a divine gift.
To have a peaceful contentment and an ease with our homes is perhaps the best way of giving thanks for what we've been given.
Sometimes, it seems, that to see what is we must first see what isn't.
Courage indeed.
I love what you said about your only goal being life and something about dorothy being “whooshed back from oz” feels so delightful mary!  Thanks for your beautiful words which are such a lovely reflection.  Mike, such a gentle and sweet feeling comes with your words.   My heart resonating with “we must first see what isn't.”
I feel like I am looking into my reflection on a softly rippling pond… silvery light around and there is magic in the air!
I am thankful for our effervescent and bubbling spirits!
Good morning glorious ones!
I wake with the remembrance to offer thanks.  Feeling all of the many things in my life where I am blessed.  The gift of shelter where I feel comfortable, protected and secure.  Knowing on a cellular level, that these feeling states can always be accessed, no matter the outer circumstances.  I am so happy that there is ease and nothing to struggle about in this area.
Feeling thankful for the beautiful ones who accompany me on my spiritual journey.  Physical and non-physical guides, family and friends.  Those, whom it is easy to allow the love to flow and expand.  Those too, whose presence offer rich contrast for me to tap into my desires and preferences.
Feeling blessed when I open up to allow the Divine to move through my life, shaping my “work” with others.  Providing the inspiration to reach out and touch lives… including my own.
Feeling the glory of consciously turning to God, the Divine.  Letting all of my attention rest here.  Surrendering.  Opening to God's will.  Saying thank you for being carried throughout the day.  Feeling incredibly grateful to be so lovingly supported… always.
Enjoy this precious day!
Good morning precious ones!  Enjoy your day!
Nicola, what a blessing, even your prose is such poetry.
A beautiful day it has been here, now gentling into a peaceful evening…
Here is the fourth movement of Rachmaninoff's All Night Vespers:
(Vechernyaya Pesn)
SVETE TIKHYI svyatyya slavy, Bezsmertnago, Otsa Nebesnago,
Svyatago Blazhennago, Iisuse Khriste!
Prishedshe na zapad solntsa, videvshe svet vechernii, poyem Otsa, Syna i Svyatago Dukha, Boga!
Dostoin esi vo vsya vremena pet byti glasi prepodobnymi,
Syne Bozhii, zhivot dayai, temzhe mir Tya slavit.(Evening Hymn)
GLADSOME LIGHT of the holy glory of the Immortal One,
the Heavenly Father, holy and blessed, O Jesus Christ.
Now that we have come to the setting of the sun and behold the light of evening, we praise the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, God.
Thou art worthy at every moment to be praised in hymns
by reverent voices.
O Son of God, thou art the giver of life; therefore all the world
glorifies thee.
Woke up, felt the loveliest of energy all around and the first two lines spontaneously unfolded of “Burn To Your End,” which I have posted below and in my blog.  Just writing down what flows forth without censor. The burning to your end feels symbolic of our opening to the bigger part of who we really are.  Releasing the smallness of our personality and ego… I'd be curious to hear how the words speak to you, if at all.
Enjoy a gorgeous day!
Burn To Your End
by Nicola Karesh
Softness wraps itself around me
And bursts into flames.
The way of the warrior
Is shrouded in mystery.
The path of the lover
Is paved in gold.
The journey of the soldier
Is riddled with pain,
Bodies and sights unimaginable.
I am the warrior, the lover
And the soldier.
I am the force who beckons angels
And repels demons.
I am it all.
Imagine that for a moment,
Containing the uncontained.
Imagine swirling the heavens,
Plunging the seas.
Rising to conquer it all,
With the softest of flames.
I am the miracle-maker.
You can bank on me,
With everything you’ve got.
I am the story-teller.
Leave nothing to chance.
I am your lover, your Father, your friend.
Enter the flames and burn to your end.
Nicola said Aug 17, 11:29 AM:
I am content to sit in silence.  Nothing that I am asking for or wanting with my conscious mind, aside from being in the stillness.  What could there possibly be to ask for, when the feeling is that everything is contained, yet mysteriously not contained, right here.  What is there to want when as soon as I enter this space, I am fulfilled and content?
Any restless urges or hidden longings vanish in this loving darkness.  All is made right, as it always is, with my willingness to rest in Spirit.  It feels like nothing is outside of me and everything that is, was or ever will be is brilliantly focused in this precious moment.
Thank you for the gift of seeing things anew.
“What will bring me into greatest alignment today?” I ask Spirit.  Being centered.  The answer is simple and direct.  There is no “how” for me about being centered.  It is either something I do or not.
To rest often today in silence.  To dip deeply into stillness;  aligning myself with the unending stream of Source.
I feel gratitude for the power that comes to me from above and the joy and delight in the wonderful creations that come forth.
Sitting in silence today.  Sorting out stuff in my mind.  Having the dawning realisation that “sorting out stuff” is not why I sat down.  Remembering my original purpose for being in silence… The desire to be in communion with God / the Divine.  Not to unload my problems or have God fix things.  Simply to be with the almighty Creator.
Feeling love flowing consciously and feeling that warmth reflecting its gaze right back at me.  Beautiful feeling which inspired lots of opening up throughout the day…
the mind seems to find endless fascination with the arrangements of stuff ;-)
and all are for naught, if we think to embue with significance
but we are joyful as otters, splashing in the sea of fairy dust
in the Mystery Unbounded
but god is not other than than us, than we, in all our humanity
of course, god is not confined to humanity, either!
meaning we cannot capture god
even as we are utterly captured
even without our knowledge or consent
and yes, just leaning into god
like a surfer, the wave
when in some bright slice of eternity
we know with innocent simplicity
that we are the wave riding itself
and this communion is our glory-ride through the curl
to wipe out on the shores of his pearly gates
in the swirling sunset of time
and, if all goes well,
in full surrender!
From my blog this morning:
Precious breath drawn this morning. Taking in the soft cooing sounds from a mourning dove. I am with you in spirit to greet the day. God's blessings and we are here again to celebrate anew. A whole day before us. What gifts will it bring? How will we honour and cherish each rising second? How will we pass on and share the rich bounty we are presented with? Questions fade and nothing remains but loving silence. Our loving gift to each other is to breathe it in with great appreciation and then lovingly extend this sweet energy outwards.
Blessed be this day.http://inducingconsciousness.gaia.com/blog/2009/12/new-day
