Creativity

Creative impulses stirring and bursting forth this morning with all kinds of wonderful ideas and pictures in mind. 

Normally the creative impulse is to put words down and create poetry of one kind or another.  Loving the flow that comes from Spirit uninhibited or controlled by me…

Last week, walking through the garden, I pictured ways to add to the landscape and had such fun going to the plant nursery.  Walking through the aisles of bushes, shrubs, trees, flowers and letting instinct and feeling direct me to the “right” combination of plants for my garden.  The pleasure of placing them in a way that felt “right” again.  Setting stones amongst them that a friend's child had created for me.  Recognising and appreciating his artistic expression because I gave him the words to put on the stone, but free rein to add whatever decoration he wanted.  Beautiful blends of stones, gems, shapes… The delight when the impulse feeds the dream and the dream takes shape and form. 

Today, the impulse is to draw, to design, to use rich blends of colour to create cards, tags… gifts for my family, friends.  Even before I get to the creating, I can feel the blessed joy in the making of the gift, the playfulness of mixing colours and coming up with something, the fun of creating something from nothing, the joy of giving to another freely, and imagining the happiness and delight that this may bring for them.

This morning, I say thank you to Spirit for moving through me to create playfully and joyfully.  Thank you for the gift of artistic expression in many forms.

Enjoy this day with much delight and appreciation for all that is!

Mary, mary, mary!  I saw that you had posted and then it was time for school and I forgot all about it until just now.  Delightful is the first word that came to mind, matched with all of the effervescence and joyful bubbling of your words!  Then, I clicked on the picture and just felt so happy to see all of the horses and the one rolling on its back!  Kind of how I feel right now!  A happy creature enjoying the soft, sweet grass and surrounded by my best buddies!

I know this inclination you speak of, the resting in the palm of god, allowing spirit to flow as it will, as we kayak down a river of bliss!

Well, Daniel! I imagine i do, though i have never been. It is a delightful analogy, though, and i do certainly kayak down the metaphorical river! In something akin to a kayak, anyway ;-)

so good to hear from you, from civilization.
i've had no power since last Friday
until last night, when they finally smoothed out the lines
after we were blown away by what they are calling an inland hurricane
which it was!

so having been gone for so long, i now must leave again
for two weeks this time!

i will have some access here and there
so maybe i can check in
but i tend to get carried away by events
and forget even what day it is
until it is time to come home again

don't want you to think yourselves abandoned!

What a weather creation!  An inland hurricane!  Mother Nature doing some clearing on a large scale.  Hope that you are safe and sound mary.  I am sure that you have a lot going on and when you are inspired and ready, we are always here!  Thanks for your beautiful presence too!

Long period of quiet for me as well.  Lots of creative juices of a different nature flowing again.  Essences brewing in the pot and I can feel the glimmer of new creations about to surface.  I have the sense of a surprisingly patient yet eagerly expectant child watching to see what pops out of the magic hat!  A delightful feeling really!

Spring is busting out all over and my soul is ripe for the picking!  I don't know if that description translates well, but in a nut shell, the ideas are flowing with great abundance and it is feeling like Spirit is dancing all over the place!  I am loving this ride!

I got a journal yesterday to record the dreams and ideas, so that I can easily follow up on them.  Better than little bits of paper all over the place and then it is so easy to forget.

What feels really beautiful on many levels, is how the ideas can lead to deeper connection with others and abundance flowing all around!  At the core of it all, I get to play and enjoy myself!  Creating magic of one kind or another for myself and others!  I feel like a kid let loose in the candy store with a pocket full of cash to spend!  I really love the magic that happens so effortlessly when we create the open space for the Divine to enter.

Enjoy the gift of today!
