Hello Jordan
My name is Jodi Flesberg Lilly and I am so happy to be a member of this pod.
I got my rebounder in the early 1980's and used it for several years several times a week and loved it. I made up little routines and even thought about creating an exercise video on rebounding. I was overwhelmed by the hows and whatnots involved in producing such a thing and the idea dropped out of my consciousness. Years later when I saw that someone had taken the idea and run with it, I wished I'd had the wherewithal to have followed through.
In 1985, I went through a particularly stressful period as my marriage began to fail and I started running for (the first time in) my life. Running was something I never seriously even considered until the day I found myself actually doing it. i went out for a walk in a furious state of mind and before I knew it I was running and it felt soooo good. The intensity of the activity seemed to better match the intensity of my inner state and allowed me to get outside and move in a way rebounding hadn't. Metaphorically, I first ran away from my marriage, then toward a life I could embrace and finally just for the joy of running.
After 20 years of running consistently most every day, I have reached a point where it isn't the same for me as it once was and I've had thoughts for the past few months of bringing my rebounder up from the garage and using it again.
When I met Jordan here, drawn by his Zaadz name Light Writer, and saw that he was a rebounding enthusiast among so many other fascinating things like the fact that he is founder of Enlightenment.com and the friend of a friend, I introduced myself. Meeting him was a confirmation of my guidance to get rebounding again.
I downloaded Jordan's manuscript and am anxious to get into it. I have been using my rebounder again for the past week or so and all the joy of it is coming back to me. The one I have was expensive at the time and very well constructed. I am amazed that works every bit as well as it did 20+ years ago.
Thank you for creating this pod. I look forward to getting to know the other members of this pod and sharing the joys of rebounding .
Happy bouncing to all!
Namaste, Jodi
