hi karen,

i think the more involved the picture in a deck, the easier it is to read.

i was shown in the last week how to read “properly”.  ie throw away the books and allow instinct to take over.

as to your question though,not just decks.  i think some cards are easier to interpret than others.  i looked at the 10 of cups and knew it instinctively, but i struggled with the star.

what is your favourite deck (or decks)?

I agree - reading by instinct gives a deeper reading and also allows for more discussion - or better resolution - for the person you're reading for.

I am very attached (right now) to Doreen Virtue's Ascended Masters, Healing with Angels, Angels and Saints and Archangels Decks, which I've mixed together. This is the set(s) I read for myself and one of my friends.

But overall - I use Philip Carr-Gomm's Druidcraft Tarot to read for others - great pictures that allow for a lot of interpretations! I don't read for lots of people, although at one time I read online at a forum.  I'd say one draw back it the oversized cards. I liked the size of Spiral Tarot and that's a good deck for me too!

Sure Randy!

you can post here or email me if you have a specific area of concern or question. Also, see the post above regarding decks. The oracle decks are a little different from the tarot cards. iMO, the oracles seem to give you reassurance or speak of things you might already know regarding your concern.

I'll be in and out this weekend but will look for your reply!

My area of concern is financial and business……..seems like everytime something seems to start “taking off”…it regresses.

Now I am in debt…( credit cards)…..and I would like to know if this situation will improve significantly for the new year. 

Use any deck that you think appropriate to give me insight in this matter.

Ok! I want to meditate first and then will read and post back to you. Let me say first that my initial impression on reading your post, is that this is temporary, that perhaps you are being redirected in your efforts.

It actually has a Q & A very similar to yours. I know there are a zillion sites similar, but this one seems reliable in many respects (IMO).

Hi Randy, I combined 4 of Doreen Virtue's Oracle decks for you reading. All three cards I drew were from the Healing with the Angel Deck.

Truth and Integrity. Be very honest with yourself and be true to yourself in all your dealings. Let go of anything inauthentic and mirror your highest intentions. Be willing to release what isn't  working.

Divine Guidance. Trust and follow your intuition.

Miracles. Miracles are occurring around you. Notice one and you will notice more, be open to what you are being shown.

My interpretation of these cards would be that *someone/thing* is trying to get your attention. Are you listening to yourself/Higher self? You are looking at some choices and opportunities, or they will manifest shortly. Be AWARE - Be open - and ask for guidance.

The CC debt - don't let this cut you off from a prosperity mind-set - I say this to you, but it's to myself as well, fear will block us from the Source. I apologize for how trite this sounds. There's a huge amount of fear and uncertainty out there, and we're all trying to stay afloat - and alot of people feel they are floundering.

I'm sorry I cannot be of more help, but I hope the reading gives you some inspiration. You have much to give, but make sure those around you have the same ideals.

I read from the DruidCraft deck and drew three cards, 5 of Cups, VII Strength and I Magician.
 
The 5 of Cups from this deck is a hooded figure, like a monk, facing a river and salmon are jumping in it. To the figure’s side are three tipped cups, behind are 2 upright cups. This card indicates a sense of loss and of unrecognized opportunity, there is a sense of meloncholy as well. The message of the card, though, is to look for the silver lining - look at the unrecognized opportunity - and move toward it. There is also a meaning involving a legacy from someone we lost, and this could be a loss of a friendship or someone moving, and the legacy can involve a trait or strength that you have, or are gaining, through this experience. You are asked to look to the future and not the past.
 
The Strength card is a mature woman with a wild boar. At her feet is an unused sword. This card’s meaning is courage, power with wisdom, internal strength and compassion. It is a meeting of the wild and the civilized sides. Based on the first card, I would say this card indicates you are learning (or you may learn) that you have more to offer than you give yourself credit for. There are areas within that you are able tap into and use. Do so.
 
I The Magician. This is the card of the first steps of creativity and wisdome - this is not the final steps though. You will need to hone skills that you have, and you will have opportunities to realize your dreams. Again, much of the work will lay ahead of you, but the previous cards indicate that you will be up to the task.
 
I hope this helps. If you feel inclined to meditate on any of these cards, you will probably find additional clarity.
