Fibromyalgia and heartache

Amber said May 2, 2006, 10:47 AM:

I have been suffering with fibromyalgia for almost 3 years. The condition is pain all of the time in my muscles and fascia.

I have recently started to experience heartache.  My current love is withdrawing more and more by the day.

I am not sure I can keep everything together anymore. I am crying everyday and I am hurting more and more. Please help me to get through this very difficult time in my life.

Thank you for your love.
Amber

Some quotes from Richard Bach. I hope they can help, my friend.

CalmEagle

Nothing happens by chance, my friend… No such thing as luck. A meaning behind every little thing, and such a meaning behind this. Part for you, part for me, may not see it all real clear right now, but we will, before long.
- from “Nothing By Chance”

If it's never our fault, we can't take responsibility for it.
If we can't take responsibility for it, we'll always be its victim.
- from “Running From Safety”

Every person, all the events of your life, are there because you have drawn them there.

What you choose to do with them is up to you.

- from “Illusions, The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah”

Don't turn away from possible futures before you're certain
you don't have anything to learn from them.

You're always free to change your mind
and choose a different future, or a different past.
- from “Illusions, The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah”

“What the caterpillar calls the end of the world the master calls a butterfly.”

I understand long term pain. i broke my back 12 years ago, have Fibro and rheumatoid, and recently major issues with another part of my spine that i di not know was even a problem. It is exhausting because even the simplest actions take so much energy. All i can say is that i empathisize and support you 100%. I also know that every day i choose to visualize the possibility of a pain free day and am actively involved in becoming an expert on my issues so i can attend them as I would a child that I loved.

this is my absolute favorite quote and it helped me immeasurably when i was at the point i project you are now.

i send you my bestwishes during this difficult time for you.

John

“Those who, being really on the way, fall upon hard times in the world will
not, as a consequence, turn to that friend who offers refuge and comfort and
encourages the old self to survive. Rather they will seek out someone who will
faithfully and inexorably help them to risk themselves, so that they may endure
the suffering and pass courageously through it, thus making of it a “raft that
leads to the far shore.”
Only to the extent that we expose ourselves over and
over again to annihilation can that which is indestructible arise within us.
In this lies the dignity of daring.
Thus, the aim of practice is not to develop an attitude which allows us to acquire a state of harmony and peace wherein
nothing can ever trouble us.

On the contrary, practice should teach us to let
ourselves be assaulted, perturbed, moved, insulted, broken, and
battered–that is to say, it should enable us to dare to let go our futile hankering after
harmony, surcease from pain, and a comfortable life in order that we may
discover, in doing battle with the forces that oppose us, that which awaits us
beyond the world of opposites. The first necessity is that we should have the
courage to face life, and to encounter all that is most perilous in the world.
When this is possible, meditation itself becomes the means by which we accept and
welcome the demons which arise from the unconscious–a process very different
from the practice of concentration on some object as a protection against such
forces. Only if we venture repeatedly through zones of annihilation can our
contact with Divine being, which is beyond annihilation, become firm and
stable. The more we learn wholeheartedly to confront the world that threatens us
with isolation, the more are the depths of the Ground of Being revealed and
possibilities of new life and Becoming opened.”

my dearest Amber;

Fibromyalgia is an awful disease, and the stress that You are experiencing will make it worse…..but so much can be done. You have to look for a naturopathic doctor in your area. There is a lot of hope, and You have to take control of Your own health. Never surrender it to any one…and remember all healing comes from within!!

Maybe if You would like to write to me privately, I will see  how I can help You! I would be pleased to help You if You like!

My prayers are with You, and may healing light surround You! God bless!

love & light to You always….
Suzanne

UPDATE: I am still in a lot of pain, but now I am learning new strategies to deal with it.  I have also found a path in life that I am passionate about. I intend to do whatever it takes to make that dream come true!! I am very excited, but unfortunatley  (realisticalIy) I am limited by my disability… but some days are very bright!  I hope to brighten more days!

Thank you for your support; Zaadz is a great place!

Hi Amber,

Just wanted to let you know that I am sending love and positive energy your way.  I am also a Fibro and Lupus sufferer.  The symptoms actually intertwine and I often dont know the actual culprit.  Either way, it is horrible and draining.  Lots of people often pull away because they cannot see our disease and it is confusing.  Just keep trying everything you can.  How do you sleep?  There is a chicken or the egg theory with sleep and Fibro.  Good Luck.

I take medication to help me sleep, so I am good in that department. I wasn't sleeping well for about 2 years - I really appreciate my rest!  Thank you for your positive thoughts and love.  I am a bit drained and so annoyed by this constant pain. I don't want to be on pain meds for the rest of my life, but right now it is the best thing I have to dull it a little bit.  Everyday is a new opportunity to take control, but usually the condition runs me.  I do use my inversion table daily, so that helps a lot.  I have a pain management doctor, but I don't think my condition is 'managed' at all - it manages me.  Well thanks again for your support!!
