MsCapriKell said May 23, 2006, 6:03 PM:

6 drops peppermint
6 drops tea tree
9 drops Eucalyptus radiata

This combination can be diluted 20-80 and then apply to exposed skin as needed.

Mosquito-repellent:  Lemon, peppermint, Eucalyptus radiata, lemongrass.

Horse-fly repellent:  Idaho tansy floral water

For the roses:

Aphids repellent:  Mix 10 drops spearmint and 15 drops orange essential oils in 2 quarts salt water, shake well, and spray on plants.

Okay, testimonial time. I've been using the mosquito repellent for the past few weeks. It has been a HORRIBLE mosquito summer. Why? We've had almost NO rain. Doesn't make any sense.

Anyway, this stuff really works. I watch the buggers hover over me and then fly off. Not kidding!

On Sunday I shared some with my neighbor who's toddler was being eaten alive. I'm about to take her a printed copy of the “recipe” now, which is why I'm back here. I thought “what the heck, I should report my findings!!”

Check it out… it's SO MUCH nicer than DEET.

OH WOW!!!  That so ROCKS!!!  I don't experience them that much here… so I've not prepped any solution for myself… makes me want to mix it just to have it on hand … love this kind of testimonial!!!

And I couldn't agree more about the “it's SO MUCH nicer than DEET.”

Very happy!
