Although not specifically-Masonic or related to Freemasonry in any administrative way, I felt that the following initiative from the United Church of Religious Science is well worth a mention within the charitable realms of this discussion board. The mission of both the Masonic Lodge and the UCRS is the same, in my eyes: Awakening Through Spiritual Community. “A World That Works for Everyone”“…where poverty, hunger, homelessness, disenfranchisement and war no longer prevail; where forgiveness, compassion, nonviolence, respect, appreciation of beauty, and the generous sharing of resources are the norm” OUR VISION: “GLOBAL HEART”

The heart! In order to bring about the changes we first have to start within ourselves. We have to learn to forgive, first ourselves, then others, unconditionally. Only when our heart is free and open to all people can we move forward. It is not hard to get started, all you need is one random act of kindness and before you know it, it becomes second nature. The words of the group are good, but the real question is, is it too late? I hear more and more rumblings everyday about the US moving towards a fascist state. Those espousing it compare the recent acts by the President, et al, to the guidelines laid out by Goebels. If they are correct in their assertions, then the ideology espoused here becomes harder as the government cracks down. The next few years are going to be very interesting indeed. |
