Well, it looks like we have 9 members so far!  Maybe everyone could share a bit about themselves (or, I suppose, point us to your profile if you've already put a bunch of info there….).

It would be great to hear about what each of you would most like to accomplish on Zaadz.  Then we could help each other overcome any obstacles or technical difficulties getting in the way.

 Namaste,   Melissa

hey the ambassadors process isn't that much, go for it, more minds are an awesome thing.

greetings everyone

Some time ago I had heard of the web site My Space, and looked at it, feeling a bit beyond “the american idol” demographics. I didn't sign up on that site. Some time later one of my partners sj said “look at this sight, I think you would fit here”.

So I did, I have always been involved in some sort of activism work, apartheid to HIV/AIDS. I grew up in Madison, WI USA. in a rather dysfunctional home, no family member in my life would be there for more than ten years. I was kind of a second generation hippie metamorphosis later into a punker type, then at 18 became a Marine.

As a Gay man (altho, I only identify with the term today, I have loved women greatly), I find that most of my life has witnessed quite a bit of hate. some of it against me, and some of it against my gay peers. I know people that have been killed, beaten with steel plates in thier heads now, and I have seen many drop from the dreaded modern day plague.

I also have struggled with a taxing disability that is the result of a reaction to polio in boot camp. I made it through the marines in tremendous pain and sick most of the time. I ended up almost being killed because I was outed by someone who had stolen my things and found evidence of my homosexual activities.

So many of my friends have died, few have been replaced, I would be honored to be anyone's friend.

I studied to become a minister so that I could pay my dues to the lord for being such a horrible kid. I was violent and mean, a thief and a liar. through much study later in my life, I would wipe my mental hard drive of all outdated programs that no longer worked for me, and began rebuilding the form of what exists today.

I have tremendous compassion, but patience for it is limited, especially if the person who came to me for help is being repetitive with the drama. today is a difficult day for me, because yesterday I had to put a loyal friend to sleep, he had severe cancer. so Zaadz for me is a safe place to explore my emotions and my spirit, and also to keep from shutting down.

i'm pretty good at going internal and combusting, so as a way to cope with my grief, I am surfing the pods.

Hello. I found Zaadz in an ad in Shambhala Sun, and have been here for a few weeks. I have read some very interesting profiles of people but I don't know how to contact anyone. I'm here to make friends but I don't know how. My life dosen't offer mny opprotunities to meet people with the same interests as myself, soZaadz would be a great help. I am open to any help anyone has.Thank you,
 Peace.
