This book is a good introduction to the concepts of creating your own reality.  While the emphasis seems to be around acquiring riches, the message is still there–you are creating your own reality anyhow, you might as well create what you really want. 

it was a big disappointment for me…there were some good phrases in the book and that's all! I believe the core idea up to a point but not like this…there is a huge void in the book and the book repeats itself. I think this book is a good result of marketing.

The Secret is fantastic as an introduction to the universal laws we can align ourselves with - or not. The book is incredibly important as a vehicle to get these ideas out into mainstream society. It gives a common language to use to talk about these ideas and universal laws.

I agree that more information - especially around having to take action to manifest your goals - is critically important. Many of the teachers in The Secret have their own companies with teachings & products that go into much more detail about how to take action to manifest you goals. I encourage you to check them out if The Secret wet your appetite.

I just watched the movie last night and found that I am in total agreement with the principles expounded in the movie. They sounded like common sense to me yet I find that many (including me) have failed to capitalize on them. I suppose the only way to find out its effectiveness is to give those ideas a try. We have absolutely nothing to lose but stand to gain a lot from this 'experiment'.

The Secret is a wonderful book and movie.  I am in agreement with Coach of the Secret.  As a follow-up to The Secret I suggest you all read the Law of Attraction by Jerry and Esther Hicks.  Positive vibes into the universe!
