I bought all of Hawkin's books in one big swoop more than half a year ago. The insights I gained into various aspects of Buddhism that I had already studied (& did NOT understand) were REALLY helpful.
Though I still think Hawkins can be difficult to understand for some… he is a lot less abstruse than some authors out there. I particularly enjoy his own personal descriptions of his experiences w/ the Source & the various experiences w/ the Dark Night of the Soul. It was really helpful for me because at the time… aside from Tolle, there didn't seem to be enough books out there which bring spirituality down to earth in such accessible ways.
Many times I feel reading Maharshi or other gurus… they are speaking from where they are already at. The Sutras seem to be this way & for us.. who have not yet felt the grace of the Source cannot really understand where these people are coming from or what is holding us back from experiencing the same. I believe Hawkins is someone who was willing to come back & try to bring this experience down to the rest of us.

and that's saying something considering the caliber of his previous works. This book is the most powerful and also the easiest to read, in my opinion. It is very focused on the spiritual journey now.
I wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone who is serious about Truth and/or spirituality. It is also a great introduction to the work of Dr Hawkins as it contains all the major points in one (red) wallop.
