Thank You Leo Buscaglia for allowing me to feel the love of your

Ok, so I am going to date myself from this review. As a teenager this book came into my life two-months before I became homeless for two-years.

His warm and soothing words kept my soul alive on many a bitter and cold nights. His wonderful stories of his Mama and caring hugs he wrote about, allowed me to know and believe that a true sense of family comes from your heart.

One of my favorite quotes:

To laugh is to risk appearing the fool.

To weep is to risk appearing sentimental.

To reach out to another is to risk involvement.

To expose feelings is to risk exposing your true self.

To place your ideas, your dreams, before a crowd is to risk their loss.

To risk love is to risk being loved in return.

To live is to risk dying.

To hope is to risk despair.

To try is to risk failure.

But risks must be taken, because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing.

They may avoid suffering and sorrow,But they cannot learn, feel, change, grow, love, or live.
Chained by their attitudes, they are slaves,
they have forfeited their freedom.
Only a person who risks is free.

Leo's words have such a heart and soul that nourish, that they kept me spirit alive for two-years in the streets.

Thank You Leo for giving me an example to pattern my own heart after.
