"it always takes longer than you expect..."

Hofstader brings together mathematics, music, art, zen and systems theory to take you on a journey into artificial intelligence and ultimately expanding your mind.

As a programmer I have learned a lot from this book, particularly the beatutifully, recursive and always true Hofstader's Law: “It always takes longer than you expect, even if you take into consideration Hofstader's Law”

This is the type of book that you can learn something from every page. It feels like uncovering a mystery, full of puzzles and intrigue. Definately to be read when you are fully awake.
