Great for the scientist & the mystic

We are currently reading this in our Buddhist book discussion group.  His explanations of quantum physics & neurology are to the point, but not too deep that someone without a scientific background will get lost.
* Interesting that as a monk, the author himself suffered from anxiety attacks– we never think that monks ever get those feelings ;-)
He explains how he overcame his emotional problems & how others can overcome whatever other problems & stressors they face.

New voice offers great wisdom

Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche was only born in 1975 but offers great wisdom on some of Buddhisms deapest topics. His explanation and thoughts on emptiness, compassion, absolute and relative realities, are fantastic! The book also goes into easy to understand scientific information as to why and how meditation works. Highly recommended.
