This was a really funny book. I enjoyed every bit of it. I'm a slow reader and was through it in no time. The thing is, it's fiction about the past involving places, things and people that might have actually existed. So it makes you really wonder how much was researched and has sources. A friend of mine from India claims more of this book is true than you'd think. Of course, he thinks all the worlds major innovations occurred in India alone.
I agree that this is Moore's best. I'd never before read a book that I had to put down, at regular intervals, just to laugh hysterically… except, perhaps, when reading a couple of his other books.
…and have a sense of humor? This book is for you. HILARIOUS. And respectful (in the broader sense). Christopher Moore is a gifted comedic writer (milk coming out of your nose and all that… he’s that funny) who has an affinity for writing stories with spiritual elements. In this particular story he fabricates Jesus’ missing years and well… I know it’s fiction, but… it just makes Jesus so cool. That, in and of itself, makes you think.
He has a lot of really good books. This one is his best.

you found one here. I thought it put a very interesting spin on what we “know” about Jesus and what he did while he was “here.” It was funny and interesting and I would recommend it to anyone.
