Beautifully, beautifully written. Obama could easily become a professional novelist if he ever left his day job. He's had such truly fascinating life experiences (eg, moving to Indonesia just after a coup) and has thought-provoking perspectives on well, everything. It's rife with wonderfully nuanced meditations on race and the nature of family, respecting the complexity of these topics and not settling for pat answers.
