Benjamin Franklin: More than a myth

Walter Isaacson does a masterful job of taking the reader through Benjamin Franklin’s life. While Isaacson obviously admires Franklin, he gives a balanced coverage of Franklin’s achievements and shortcomings. He also makes a strong case for Franklin’s being the founding father who has had the most influence on middle-class American culture and our fascination with the rags to riches formula.
